Apparently it was staffers who heroically barricaded the door we see the mob frantically bashing away at, and a source said that that delay is what allowed people to escape the mob.

They turned the US Capitol into a craphouse.

Some invading rioters defiled the hallowed seat of democracy with their dung in their ill-fated effort to overturn the election, a source close to incoming Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told The Post.

“Congressional staffers saw feces in the hallways,” the source said Friday.

The vile vandals apparently took dumps in bathrooms and then spread around their poop, a Schumer insider said.

“It came from the bathroom and they tracked it around,” the source said.

“There was an intentional effort to degrade the Capitol building.”

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) of Brooklyn also reported that some members of the mob urinated on the floors during the rampage.

“There was urine. There was clear desecration,” he told WNYC on Thursday.

Congresswoman tests positive for coronavirus after sheltering with some maskless lawmakers during siege of Capitol

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a 75-year-old cancer survivor, has tested positive for the coronavirus after taking shelter in a room with other lawmakers, some of whom refused to wear masks, during last week’s violent takeover of the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob.

“I received a positive test result for COVID-19, and am home resting at this time,” she said in a statement. “While I am experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms, I remain in good spirits and will continue to work on behalf of my constituents.”
