Actually, I don't recall that one. Can you refresh my memory?Do all liberals have such poor memories.....wait, they must. They re-elected the fool. http://www.freerepub...s/1473602/postsCurious that you've mentioned two photo-ops both by Democratic presidents.Do Republican presidents ever do photo-ops?Sure they do, just not that stupidly, I guess.No. He's the POTUS, so ultimately the buck stops with him.The White House/President Obama did issue an apology. So what else should have been done? Impeachment? It's just another example of his insensitive administration

That I hold jeffersonian Liberal views? Or that I don't couch my words when talking about controversial subjects?

So Clinton arranged some rocks on the beach in the shape of a cross and the Freepers called that 'the most disgraceful photo-op in the history of the presidency'. Wow!Well that was in 1994, so I guess Clinton held that record until May of 2003, when Chimpy McFlightsuit (the AWOL Chickenhawk, who let other young men die in his place in Vietnam) pretended he was top gun and landed on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln (with his huge codpiece) to declare 'Mission Accomplished' in Iraq.Remember how Bush lied and blamed the crew of the ship for putting up that banner?Well as I live and breath. Is that a teleprompter I see in that picture? It can't be.I find it hysterical that many right wingers are outraged by Obama's photo-ops.Bush's landing on the USS Lincoln was one of the most audacious moments of presidential theater in American history. The GWB White House never missed an opportunity to showcase him in the most dramatic and perfectly lit settings and backdrops. For instance:For the prime-time television address that Mr. Bush delivered to the nation on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, the White House rented three barges of giant Musco lights, the kind used to illuminate sports stadiums and rock concerts, sent them across New York Harbor, tethered them in the water around the base of the Statue of Liberty and then blasted them upward to illuminate all 305 feet of America's symbol of freedom. It was the ultimate patriotic backdrop for Mr. Bush, who spoke from Ellis Island. http://edition.cnn.c...6/nyt.bumiller/

You mean you can look at that and NOT laugh? It does look kind of silly, since you can't see the room full of reporters that he was talking to.People use teleprompters because it comes across much better on TV, than constantly looking down at written notes.I just find this whole right wing meme about how Obama can't put together a coherent sentence, unless it's fed into a teleprompter, really funny. I guess they've never seen him do an interview. LOLMy siggies are meant to provoke, like a thumb in the eye.I guess sometimes they accomplish that mission. I wonder if my present siggy is too obscure?Santorum said that Obama was leading us to the guillotine, supposedly by supplying women with Birth Control pills. Hey Misty,Chuck! is inherently dishonest and untrustworthy. A pretty vile combination hidden behind his folksy facade. He uses obfuscation, lie by omission and diversion to ignore what you say and argue against stuff you didn't. That's because he has no game. He incorrectly believes playing games and having game is the same thing.Chuck! is RichClem's friend, by his own words. By his own admission more than once. Chuck is not your friend, by his own actions. I thought you already knew that. Chuck! keeps setting you up and knocking you down. Just like he does when he steps aside and lets psycho Clem stalk and harass you while apoligizing to Clem for your horrendous behaviour. I suspect Chuck! and teacher as well as Tim always laughed about setting you up for Clem's craziness, behind the scenes. They probably still do. That is the type of crappy behaviour I expect from them. I would not put it past any of them to do stuff like that to someone for laughs.I found this gemYeah, all my friends treat me worse than they treat strangers. It's how I know they care. It means I see through your smokescreen. Just like I see through Blam's smokescreen. Your smokescreen is only marginally better than his. Thanks for the laugh, friend. If you have nothing to say on the topic, you can always spread some hate, right? You have no idea what you're talking about, and this sort of D R A M A isn't good for you and your heart, so kindly MYOB, and if you think you absolutely need to say something to Misty about me, try doing it in private. You are a person I have vowed to never antagonize again, and IMHO, you would be well served yourself by not antagonizing others. Free Republic? What a fair and balanced source. So Clinton arranged some rocks on the beach in the shape of a cross and the Freepers called that 'the most disgraceful photo-op in the history of the presidency'. Wow!Not the only source to cover the story, but Im guessing that youre well aware of that and just need a smokescreen to hide behind. The unmistakable fact is that Clinton took the 50th Anniversary of Normandy Landing as an opportunity to promote mimself. Thats as low as it get. A draft-dodging chickenshi! Using heros to bolster his image. Low, MFer, Low!Well that was in 1994, so I guess Clinton held that record until May of 2003, when Chimpy McFlightsuit (the AWOL Chickenhawk, who let other young men die in his place in Vietnam) pretended he was top gun and landed on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln (with his huge codpiece) to declare 'Mission Accomplished' in Iraq.Remember how Bush lied and blamed the crew of the ship for putting up that banner?Well as I live and breath. It takes balls. Something that cowardly Clinton or Barack Obamanation dont possess. The crew of the USS Lincoln respected Bush for that action, even as his handlers were telling him it was risky. Sure it made for good theater. It also gave 5500 sailors on the USS Lincoln a lot of pride in their accomplishments after having spent the last 9 months fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Instead of a president going around the ME apologizing to terrorists, we had a president that gave praise to the soldiers that fought against them.

Wow!Not the only source to cover the story, but Im guessing that youre well aware of that and just need a smokescreen to hide behind.I wasn't hiding behind anything. I didn't discount the facts of the story, did I? I was just commenting on the way that FreeRuplic framed it as the 'most disgraceful photo-op in the history of the presidency'. The unmistakable fact is that Clinton took the 50th Anniversary of Normandy Landing as an opportunity to promote mimself. Thats as low as it get. A draft-dodging chickenshi! Using heros to bolster his image. Low, MFer, Low!And Bush took the anniversary of 9/11 as an opportunity to promote himself. As a matter of fact he used 9/11 to promote himself all the time, nevermind that the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil took place on his watch.(Please don't bother telling me how that was Clinton's fault, because I know that's what's coming next, so I'll save you the trouble.)Bush's Daddy helped him get into the TANG during the Vietnam war, then got him a transfer to Alabama, (where no one seems to remember seeing him) to supposedly work on a political campaign. He was afraid to pee in a cup, because he likely couldn't pass the drug test.As far as photo-ops go, all presidents do this kind of stuff. But you want to ignore the fact that Republican presidents are just as guilty of it, if not more so than Democratic ones.Bush stocked his WH communications operation with people from network television who had expertise in lighting, camera angles and the importance of backdrops, and it was Ronald Reagan and his team who really first mastered the art of the photo-op. Have you ever landed on an aircraft carrier? It takes balls. Something that cowardly Clinton or Barack Obamanation dont possess. The crew of the USS Lincoln respected Bush for that action, even as his handlers were telling him it was risky. Sure it made for good theater. It also gave 5500 sailors on the USS Lincoln a lot of pride in their accomplishments after having spent the last 9 months fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.Nevermind the fact that the crew had to sit off the coast of San Diego while President Bush slept aboard, instead of heading straight to port after 10 months at sea. He delayed their homecoming. Instead of a president going around the ME apologizing to terrorists, we had a president that gave praise to the soldiers that fought against them. That makes for a wonderful talking point, but do have specific examples of Obama going around the ME apologizing to terrorists, because it seems to me that he's been going around the ME and the world killing terrorists.Once again, ALL presidents engage in photo-ops.You just don't like it when Democrats do it.
