I didn't say that.golfboy » 08 Jun 2022, 9:48 pm » wrote: ↑I'm sorry... did you just say that in 40 years there have been only 129 "mass shootings"?
Weird, I read liberal sources that said there were over 213 just this year.On May 24, an 18-year-old gunman stormed the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, fatally shooting 19 children and two teachers, before being shot dead by police, casting a spotlight on gun violence in the United States.
The massacre is the latest in a years-long series of mass shootings in the US, which according to a tally by the non-profit Gun Violence Archive was the 213th such incident of 2022 in which four or more people were shot or killed – not including the attacker – in a single incident.
Yea, it's impossible to discuss facts when the "facts" keep moving, isn't it?Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:13 pm » wrote: ↑ I didn't say that.
Statista did.
I don't know how they define a mass shooting.
Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:07 pm » wrote: ↑ Why are you trying to pretend that many mass shootings have not been carried out by angry young white men?
I can only take this place in small doses lately.
It's like repeatedly bashing one's head into a brick wall.
Only less fun.
Much like the First Amendment, the Second Amendment is NOT unlimited.golfboy » 08 Jun 2022, 10:11 pm » wrote: ↑Alcohol and renting cars are not constitutionally protected rights.Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:01 pm » wrote: ↑ That's one.
There were 'good guys with guns' at many mass shootings that were of no use at all and in the case of Buffalo ended up dead themselves.
But you cling to that one.
And BTW when police arrive at the scene and two people are firing at each other, how do they know which one is the good guy and which one is the bad guy?
People are fed up with the usual arguments and talking points used by gun fetishists.
They are demanding action.
There is no good reason why an 18 year old should be allowed to buy an AR-15.
They can't even legally buy alcohol until they are 21 or rent a car until they are 25.
The right to bear arms is, and even the 9th Circuit Court has ruled the 18 year old prohibition is unconstitutional.
If you believe the Constitution should be changed, than amend it.
Who said that I don't recognize the murders committed by blacks?Rock » 08 Jun 2022, 10:21 pm » wrote: ↑I never said that mass shootings haven't been carried out by young white men. Again, why can't you recognize the murders committed by blacks recently? It's like you liberals have blinders on when it comes to the homicide rate by African Americans. Do you not watch the news? Oh wait. You only watch liberal news sources. Never mind.
WHY DO YOU SUPPOSE THEY DO NOT INCLUDE THE MASS SHOOTINGS THAT YOUR PET MURDER MONKEYS COMMIT...?Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:13 pm » wrote: ↑ I didn't say that.

I already showed you, when you made this statement earlier that you were wrong.Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:22 pm » wrote: ↑ Much like the First Amendment, the Second Amendment is NOT unlimited.
There is no constitutionally protected right to own any kind of a weapon you want to.
Scalia said so in the Heller decision.
If that were the case then fully automatic weapons (machine guns) would be legal, and they are not.
We had an assault weapons ban in this country for ten years before it was allowed to expire.
It was never ruled unconstitutional.
Except a much larger percentage of homicides are committed by blacks, than their population would suggest.Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:26 pm » wrote: ↑ Who said that I don't recognize the murders committed by blacks?
In case you forgot, you are the one who brought race/ethnicity into the discussion.
The race/ethnicity of shooters is a reflection of the race/ethnicity of the general population.
Whites are the majority.

You know, that's not the part that bothers me.

The part that gets me is that she completely ignores all evidence she is shown that contradicts EVERY. CLAIM. SHE. MAKES. and just keeps spouting the same nonsense over and over.
She could also have used a handgun or a shot gun.golfboy » 08 Jun 2022, 10:53 pm » wrote: ↑ Pregnant Woman from Lithia, Florida Used AR-15 during HOME INVASION to Drop Armed Robber ATTACKING HER 11-YEAR-OLD Daughter...

So McConnell demanded that the House pass a bill 'TODAY' to protect Supreme court Justices, but when it comes to children in school or regular citizens just trying to buy groceries or go to a church, a hospital, a movie theater, a night club, a concert, or a Walmart, they're on their own.
No legislation for them.
Why do you get to decide what she needed?Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:57 pm » wrote: ↑ She could also have used a handgun or a shot gun.
You don't need an AR-15 to shoot a robber.

The Senate passed the judge bill over a week ago, and it's been sitting on Nancy's desk.Misty » 08 Jun 2022, 10:56 pm » wrote: ↑
