Tag, Pugly and kking had the temerity to disagree with Clem.He can't have that. LOLOh gosh, the moonbats are writing fiction again. They can't debate honestly, so that's what they resort to.I don't recall that I had any exchanges with the mythical tag.Pugly was being an a**hole. Our dispute had nothing to do with issues.I had one dispute with kking, and I went over the top for a day or two. Beyond that, we get along ok.I've had cordial exchanges with all or almost all other board conservatives and many liberals. This is the best you moonbats can do?

GOP War On Women ContinuesA new bill moving through the Tennessee House of Representatives would require the state to publish the names of each doctor who performs an abortion and detailed statistics about the woman having the procedure, which opponents worry will spur anti-abortion violence in the state. The Life Defense Act of 2012, sponsored by state Rep. Matthew Hill (R-Jonesboro), mandates that the Tennessee Department of Health make detailed demographic information about every woman who has an abortion available to the public, including her age, race, county, marital status, education level, number of children, the location of the procedure and how many times she has been pregnant. Each report would also have to include the name of the doctor who performed the procedure.Several health organizations, including the Tennessee Medical Association and Planned Parenthood, are concerned that the bill will make doctors and women vulnerable to attacks, especially considering the murder of Dr. George Tiller, a Kansas abortion provider, by an anti-abortion activist in 2009."We live in an environment where there is a lot of violence against abortion providers, clinics, and clinic staff," said Jeff Teague, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Middle and Eastern Tennessee. "We've had physicians who provide abortion care murdered in the past few years. This is an attempt to intimidate physicians who provide abortion care and the women who seek abortions and to terrorize them."Rep. Gary Odom (D-Nashville) called the bill "very dangerous," and said the Republicans who voted it out of a House subcommittee offered "no explanation as to why this was something that needed to be done.""It puts a target on women's and physicians' backs," he told HuffPost. "I think it's a very dangerous piece of legislation and serves no purpose I can tell other than trying to intimidate women and physicians."Exactly.

GOP War On Women ContinuesExactly."It puts a target on women's and physicians' backs," he told HuffPost. "I think it's a very dangerous piece of legislation and serves no purpose I can tell other than trying to intimidate women and physicians."Throughout the Weimar period there had been agitation tolegalize abortion. The liberalization of abortion was opposedby many physicians who warned about killing, moral decay andGermany's low birth rate [6]. The result of the debate was that,in 1926, abortion was reduced from the status of a felony to amisdemeanor. Many marriage counseling centers and sex reformorganizations were formed as the Weimar government concerneditself with eugenics and sterilization, but the law, uneasinessabout public opinion, and a desire for more knowledge aboutheredity held them back [7]. The infrastructure for the Nazisterilization and abortion program had been laid by the Weimardemocracy, and the same medical association that had been op-posed to abortion was to change rapidly under the Nazi regime. From their first year of power the Nazi politicians utilized medicineand physicians in promoting "positive eugenics" to encouragedesirable births. In response to Hitler's declaration that "thewoman's battlefield was to be the home," the German medicalprofession adopted appropriate measures. In 1933 ProfessorWagner, director of the women's clinic of Berlin's Charite Hospitaland editor of a prestigious gynecology journal, declared "thenation's stock of the ovaries a national resource and propertyof the German state." He called for "mandatory care for thesevital organs, vital not only for the individual but for the healthand future of the entire Volk." The Nazis, with the support of theGerman medical community, encouraged healthy German womento produce as many desirable children as possible. Nazi efforts toincrease the "healthy" German birthrate involved a combinationof propaganda, financial incentives and special benefits. Medicaljournals published criticisms of unmarried or childless colleagues. In 1942, the Reich Health Fuhrer (leader) Leonardo Conti orderedthat doctors use every means at their disposal to help childlesscouples bear children. Marriage loans were granted only after apublic health physician had examined the prospective couple forgenetic diseases. Research was encouraged to determine when ina woman's menstrual cycle it was optimal to conceive children.Anti-abortion policy for healthy Aryan women was paramountfor the Nazis. Legislation was introduced that made sterilizationand abortion "crimes against the body of the German people."Access to birth control for these German women in all forms wasalso severely curtailed. Bavaria's official medical journal declaredabortion as a form of treason. Heinrich Himmler established theReich's "Central Agency for the Struggle against Homosexualityand Abortion." Abortions were permitted only if the life of theGerman mother was in danger [8].emphasis addedDoctors, Pregnancy, Childbirth and Abortion during the Third ReichPDF documentTessa Chelouche MDLook, I'm the nut the squirrel ran off with! Only someone deeply psychotic would claim there are similarities between Nazis and American Christians. That takes a special kind of stupid. The German census of May 1939 indicates that 54 percent of Germans considered themselves Protestant and 40 percent considered themselves Catholic, with only 3.5 percent claiming to be neo-pagan "believers in God," and 1.5 percent unbelievers. This census came more than six years into the Hitler era.

Could a sane, honest person express the following opinion, even given hyperbole about rocket scientists? All the rocket scientists are in California, stupid.Only low wage uneducated workers are in Texas.I spent some time in Dallas, and anyone who thinks "only low wage workers" live there is a fool or a liar. Which are you?And as usual, you're ignoring the fact that California's nominal unemployment rate is 12.4%, it's real unemployment rate likely 15-16%, standards of living are plummeting, citizens are fleeing and the state is going bankrupt. Some success.
