I spent some time in Dallas, and anyone who thinks "only low wage workers" live there is a fool or a liar. Which are you?And as usual, you're ignoring the fact that California's nominal unemployment rate is 12.4%, it's real unemployment rate likely 15-16%, standards of living are plummeting, citizens are fleeing and the state is going bankrupt. Some success.Median hourly wageLow Wages in Texas. How to lie with statistics, Krugman's favorite trick.Looking at hourly wages not actual income grossly understates certain incomes and slants the field in liberals' direction.Beyond that, the most accurate picture looks at after-tax income and standard of living. Texans live far better at a lower income, which is why people are moving there and out of California. You also ignored all my points, as usual.

Texas is filled with low-paying jobs and few services. It's a paradise for businesses seeking cheap labor.

Even Krugman at least puts a little effort into his manipulation of statistics.Texas is filled with low-paying jobs and few services. Makes you really credible.Say, why are so many people leaving California? Are they tired of making so much money?

Hey, great lie off the top of your head. Even Krugman at least puts a little effort into his manipulation of statistics.Simple math, clembat. Try using it sometime. Then people must be really stupid to move there, right?Low paying jobs *ARE THERE*. So, the desperate are moving there. Great job at ignoring my points about Cal's 12.4% unemployment rate and coming collapse. Makes you really credible.Say, why are so many people leaving California? Are they tired of making so much money?Desperate people *ARE* leaving California -- for Texas. But, Texas is no miracle. Texas is a haven for low pay and a government that favors business over people.

It's a roughly level playing field. However California places Big Government and its Special Interests over taxpayers and ordinary citizens.Just like Obama and national Dems do.

Paranoid much? You're really, really desperate for material if you have to go back to 2008 for "evidence" that I lied. Besides, I've admitted likely 4, 5, 6 times now that I was wrong. So your claim that I lied is itself a Big Lie.I was wrong, get it? Besides, it's clear as day that I was absolutely right to be paranoid. Edited by Skeptic, 21 March 2012 - 11:05 AM.

If people are leaving California for Texas, then by definition Texas is the better place to live, unless you think people are stupid. Texas isn't a miracle, of course not. It's just run competently. No, it just means Texas has more jobs -- albeit very low paying jobs.It is not run competently except for the very wealthy.Texas's median income taking into account age, demographics and cost of living is a better place to live than California. The government doesn't favor anyone. It's a roughly level playing field. However California places Big Government and its Special Interests over taxpayers and ordinary citizens.Just like Obama and national Dems do.California is a state that has been savaged by overuse of it's law allowing voter initiatives which - unsurprisingly - have overwhelmingly favored irresponsibility. The very wealthy have been the chief beneficiaries of these and also laws on the books that make it virtually impossible to raise taxes on the wealthy. Given that this is the case, Texas is only slightly behind California's fate.

The Trayvon Martin case has merited coverage by the New York Times, the Washington Post, and USA Today. The story has been covered by all three broadcast networks and extensively on cable. But there is one outlet that has barely mentioned Trayvon Martin Fox News.Heres a breakdown of the coverage of Trayvon Martin on the three major cable networks from the day of his death through today (03/19/2012) at noon:4:33 PM 03/20/2012Fox News finally weighs in......and to come to the defense of the NRA? It took Fox News a while to get onto this story, but when it did, it identified the real victim the National Rifle Association. On America Live, Trace Gallagher said: the alleged gunman claim[ed] it was self-defense, and now anti-gun advocates say the 911 calls from some witnesses prove otherwise, and theyre using them as ammunition in a new attack on the National Rifle Association. Later he added, Its important to point out that gun sales in this country have never been higher and the crime rate, says the FBI, is very low. I dont think thats important to point out at all, actually. Far more important is what Dan Gross, president of the Brady Campaign, said in a press release: Trayvons life has been lost not because of an accident. He lost his life because a man in a state with weak gun laws left his house with a 9mm, and used it.LINK

Authors of "Stand Your Ground" Law: George Zimmerman Should Probably Be Arrested For Killing Trayvon Martin(CBS/AP) SANFORD, Fla. - The authors of Florida's controversial "stand your ground" self-defense law say George Zimmerman should probably be arrested for shooting Trayvon Martin, reports the Miami Herald."He has no protection under my law," former Sen. Durell Peaden told the newspaper. Florida's law, called "stand your ground" by supporters and "shoot first" by critics, was passed in 2005 and permits residents to use deadly force if they "reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony."Traditionally, self-defense laws did not typically extend beyond a person's home, but the Florida law, and at least 20 more passed across the country since them, allows a resident to "meet force with force" almost anywhere, including the street or a bar.It is the fact that Zimmerman ignored the 911 operator's advice not to follow Martin that former Sen. Peaden says disqualifies him from claiming self-defense under the law."The guy lost his defense right then," Peaden told the Miami Herald. "When he said 'I'm following him,' he lost his defense."Rep. Dennis Baxley, Peaden's co-sponsor in the Florida House, agrees with his former colleague, telling the newspaper that the law does not license neighborhood watch or others who feel "like they have the authority to pursue and confront people. That is aggravating an incident right there."

The evidence that Reagan was a rapist is stronger than that.In Kitty Kelley's 1991 book Nancy Reagan: The Unauthorized Biography, actress Selene Walters accused Ronald Reagan of raping her. People magazine did a follow up interview with Walters, and all in all it had about the same credibility as the Juanita Broaddrick story. Except of course, there was no television network devoting most of its time to it, the Wall Street Journal did not devote its editorial page to it, it did not appear as headlines in all the major newspapers, it was not the topic of discussion on every talking head program, and Rush Limbaugh never even mentioned it. In fact I have not seen nor heard any mention of this anywhere by any media source other than on the net. Some liberal media, eh?The call now from the Right and the media is for Clinton to answer to the accusation. When Reagan was approached with the charge by a reporter outside one of his biannual treks to church, he said, "I don't think a church would be the proper place to use the word I would have to use in discussing that." That was a good enough answer for conservatives though. But we have to remember, Ronald Reagan is the moral example of conservative Americans.Divorced, knocked up his bride to be and slapped around his daughter. Bill Clinton did none of those things, but that does not matter because he did far far worse, he got a couple BJ's from a bimbo at work.
