That's why I almost entirely avoid the Post Office and use FedEx or UPS.

The average postal worker works moderate hours, has nearly 100% job security, and retires far earlier than the average American with a massive retirement and benefits package.
That's why Congress forced the Post Office to fund its mostly unfunded pension obligations; to prevent you from looking for another taxpayer bailout.

It wasn't the postal workers' fault for closing early.

No, it was my, i.e. the customer's fault even thought I was on time.

And btw, the local UPS guys never once kicked me out, even when I was a few minutes late. They understood how important the customer was.
