So Joe Biden was speaking in the hypothetical, since there was no vacancy at the time, and he said that a President should not nominate anyone during the summer of his last term.
Someone needs to tell McConnell that it's still winter.

Harty has not apologized for making his comments. Republican State House Speaker William OBrien said that at Hartys age [90 years old], he has earned the right to say what he thinks, but he needs to appreciate that as a representative, he will be held to a higher standard. Looks like Harty could use some of those mental health services himself. To the people who live in Harty's district...... Keep voting for this senile old bastard. Good job.
