Trump Claims He’s Seen Calls For Moment Of Silence For Dallas Shooter

Donald Trump told Bill O’Reilly on Tuesday that he witnessed people call for a moment of silence for the man who killed five police officers and wounded eleven other people at a Black Lives Matter rally last week.

Asked by the Fox News host if there was a divide between blacks and whites in America, Trump used this as an example of how “there would seem to be."

“It's getting more and more obvious and it's very sad, very sad,” Trump went on. “When somebody called for a moment of silence to this maniac that shot the five police, you just see what's going on. It's a very, very sad situation.”

There were no media reports about anyone calling for a moment of silence for gunman Micah Johnson, though groups from Congress to the New York Stock Exchange held moments of silence for the victims of last Thursday's mass shooting. Searches on social media for people making such calls also came up short.

Despite this lack of evidence, Trump reiterated the claim at a rally in Westfield, Indiana on Tuesday night, where he criticized Black Lives Matter for holding rallies across the country the weekend after the Dallas shootings.

“The other night you had 11 cities potentially in a blow-up stage,” he said. “Marches all over the United States—and tough marches. Anger. Hatred. Hatred! Started by a maniac!

And some people ask for a moment of silence for him. For the killer!
Donald Trump Claims 'Some People' Called for a Moment of Silence for the Dallas Gunman

Trump has now said at least twice that some people have asked for a moment of silence for the shooter, Micah Johnson, who was killed when a police robot detonated a bomb near him.

So far, ABC News has been able to find one person who posted on two of his social media accounts calling for a moment of silence.

The man's tweet was posted on the evening of July 8, hours after Johnson was killed during a standoff with Dallas police.

The tweet was liked once and retweeted once. The matching Facebook post was liked 14 times.
One idiot on Twitter is now 'some people?'
I guess these are the same 'people' he saw celebrating on 9/11 in New Jersey.

The city of Cleveland is gearing up for what could be a very volatile situation.
I just saw on TV that they are putting up fencing, the courts are going to be staying open late to process people that are arrested, and the hospitals are preparing to handle people that might be injured.

And this jackass is perfectly willing to pour gasoline on the fire, because he thinks that if there is violence in Cleveland that will benefit him politically.

Just when I think he couldn't possibly sink any lower as a human being, the race-baiter does just that.

He is a scum bag, and he knows his base will lap it up...not all, but too many of them.
So is he terrified the elite will take him out at the convention, b/c I don't see him pivoting
to the general electorate. Pence is an Evangelical too, this is who Trump believes will save him?

Please excuse me for diverting you to another thread, but I am answering all of my notifications in my Flying Monkeys thread for now.

The SCOTUS has never been free of politics.
There have been several Justices who ran for POTUS or other elective offices.
John Jay, the first Chief Justice, ran twice for elected office without resigning from the Supreme Court.
And William Howard Taft joined the Supreme Court AFTER he was President, so everyone knew were he stood politically.

I never claimed to be an expert on email servers.
When I said 'gone is gone' what I meant was that for the purposes of the Congressional Committee who was requesting those emails, they were not available.
So it made no difference if they were just deleted or forensically wiped out.
The Committee was told they were 'missing.'

It is very cumbersome and time consuming to search this massive content. Also when Hillary asked her backup server company to delete their content they immediately called the FBI and gave them the disks of her emails etc.
NOTHING IS GONE!!
I guess you missed the part about how Bush's White House staffers (including Karl Rove) were not using government servers.
They were using a private server that belonged to the Republican National Committee, so nothing was backed up.

Apparently I'm also a progressive 'prostitute.'

I didn't mean to get all whiny, and you know that I can usually throw down with the best of them.
I just don't understand why we females on this forum have to put up with **** like that.
After being called a **** so many times, I guess I just had enough.

We have a bunch of idiots on this forum whose idea of political debate is to call people names like 12 year old bullies in a school yard.
I guess this is why they love the Insane Racist In Orange Greasepaint so much.
He's just like them.

I thought it was hilarious and a good jab at the GOP.

*The proposed GOP platform, which will come up for ratification by delegates at next week’s convention, is one of the most anti-LGBT in history. Accordingto CNN, it “opposes same-sex marriage rights, supports efforts to restrict bathrooms to individuals’ birth gender and protects businesses who refuse services to individuals based on religious objections to gay marriage.”

Trump has called global warming (man-made or otherwise) “****” and a “hoax” that was “created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing noncompetitive.”
But he's lying about that.
Did you read the link I posted?
Donald Trump says he is “not a big believer in global warming.” He has called it “a total hoax,” “****” and “pseudoscience.”

But he is also trying to build a sea wall designed to protect one of his golf courses from “global warming and its effects.”

The New York billionaire is applying for permission to erect a coastal protection works to prevent erosion at his seaside golf resort, Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland, in County Clare.

A permit application for the wall, filed by Trump International Golf Links Ireland and reviewed by POLITICO, explicitly cites global warming and its consequences — increased erosion due to rising sea levels and extreme weather this century — as a chief justification for building the structure.

I hope so, it sits across from the Westboro Baptist Church but I have no idea if convention traffic will
go by it. On edit: I think that's where its placed, unless I misunderstood.

The hearts between their heads cracked me up.

It would be perfectly in character for Trump to use something he does not personally believe in to gain an advantage in a legal setting. He just wants a nice wall, if using AGW as a justification accomplishes the task he would certainly use that to his advantage.

What is perfectly in character for Trump is to lie to his supporters by feeding them the **** they want to hear.
He doesn't just 'want a nice wall.'
The wall is to protect his golf course from the beach erosion that is already occurring there due to increasingly more intensive storms.
The beach area by the resort's 18th green has been disappearing by about three feet annually due to the rising waters.

Great interview on Anderson Cooper's show last night.
Trump University's 'top' instructor's job was to sell, not teach.

Former Trump University instructor James Harris told students that he was Donald Trump's "top nationwide instructor and mentor" and "his number one guy." But he was a "top guy" for his salesmanship, not his real estate expertise.

In an interview with CNN, Harris admits that his main job wasn't to teach real estate, it was to sell real estate seminars. And while the school claimed its instructors were real estate experts that were handpicked by Trump himself, Harris has little related experience that CNN could verify.
Related: Judge Gonzalo Curiel (the target of Trump's criticism) is trying to decide whether or not to release the video of Trump's deposition in the Trump U. lawsuit.

There are many people on this forum that I don't agree with politically, yet I manage to have very polite interactions with them.
I'm not in the habit of starting the ****, but when someone starts it with me, then it's on.

People like you, Golfboy, and roadkill are incapable of having a discussion with anyone that you don't agree with politically without insulting them.
You act like a bunch of 12 year old schoolyard bullies, which is why I have you and GB on ignore, and roadkill is about to join you.
I've been having a conversation with NeoConvict right here in this thread.
Ask him if I've called him a WHORE, a SLUT, a PROSTITUTE or a ****, or anything remotely like that?
The answer is no, and do you know why?
Because he doesn't call me names, so I react in kind.
