The President-elect’s team asked the White House to give his family top secret security clearances to aid their father’s transition to the nation’s 45th commander-in-chief, according to CBS News.

Ivanka, Eric and Donald Trump Jr. as well as son-in-law Jared Kushner are on the president-elect’s transition team.

The security clearance would designate the kids as Trump’s national security advisors.

Nepotism regulations bar the family from having formal jobs in the White House.

But they wouldn’t need to be government employees to get clearance to review classified information, according to CBS.

Once Trump becomes president he could put in the security clearance request himself.

The issue raises another layer of questions about the unique role his children are playing and conflicts of interest with their running his network of businesses.
