She always gets touchy when I bring up the glorious, roaring Obama Economy. No, I get touchy when people like you ask me questions based on a false premise. How many times have you asked me "How's that roaring Obama economy going?" That question would presuppose the fact that I ever said that the economy was 'roaring', which of course I have not. That's called "sarcasm," moonbat. Given that I ask the same question of all Obama-supporting moonbat, it's silly to claim I'm implying you said it is. (I readily admit that the recovery has been slow, and your party shares much of the blame for that. They have made it perfectly clear, that they have no interest in seeing the economy recover, or in seeing this president succeed. You root for Obama's failure as well, nevermind that people may suffer for it.) Oh my, the standard Democrat Talking Point Lie, exactly why I correctly label you a "liar." Obama had two years of a filibuster-proof Congress to get every policy he wanted and did. He got his full $1 trillion Porkulus Bill. It failed, duuh, and of course Repubs prevented him from bankrupting the country even faster than he is. Worst recovery in roughly 80 years. Real unemployment is at least 11% and still rising, at a cost of $1 trillion annually. But you ignore that failure, that grave danger to the country, in favor of micro-issues that help the Democrat Party in some way. They have no interest in seeing the economy recover Another blatant troll lie. Repubs have passed roughly 40 bills in the House that would have created jobs, only to see them die in the Senate by Obama ally Reid's obstruction. He won't even allow them up for a vote. This of course is why you will never get an answer to that question, as many times as you demand it. You never answer questions that require you to give an answer that contradicts your lies and Disinformation. Do you think that if you post a stupid smiley face after your snide remarks it makes you more likable? It doesn't. Yeah, trolls and moonbats hate me.

Poll Finds Christianity As State Religion Supported By One-Third Of AmericansAlthough the North Carolina House of Representatives killed a bill Thursday that would have paved the way for establishing an official state religion, a new national HuffPost/YouGov poll finds widespread support for doing so.The new survey finds that 34 percent of adults would favor establishing Christianity as the official state religion in their own state, while 47 percent would oppose doing so. Thirty-two percent said that they would favor a constitutional amendment making Christianity the official religion of the United States, with 52 percent saying they were opposed.Although a large percentage of Americans said they would favor establishing a state religion, only 11 percent said they thought the U.S. Constitution allowed states to do so. Fifty-eight percent said they didn't think it was constitutional, and 31 percent said they were not sure. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the First Amendment, which (among other things) prohibits the government from establishing an official religion, also applies to the states.Republicans were more likely than Democrats or independents to say that they would favor establishing Christianity as an official state religion, with 55 percent favoring it in their own state and 46 percent favoring a national constitutional amendment.Read More At Link In TitleSo Republicans seem to favor the establishment of an official state religion.Aren't they the ones always screaming about how much they love the Constitution?Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

How many times have you accused me of lying when I posted a sarcastic remark, or an opinion, or asked a question, or engaged in what was clearly a bit of hyperbole? You've spread some of the ugliest blatant lies for years without having corrected one single one of them, yet bleat in outrage when I call you what you are: a sociopathic liar. What's your freaking problem? It's who you are.

Another blatant troll lie.Repubs have passed roughly 40 bills in the House that would have created jobs, only to see them die in the Senate by Obama ally Reid's obstruction. That's a great GOP talking point, unfortunately it's just Another blatant troll lie.More than one economist, including Mark Zandi, the chief economist at Moody's Analytics, and Carl Riccadonna, a senior economist at Deutsche Bank, have said that the bills would have almost no effect on job creation in the short term. There have been 25 bills pertaining to abortion in the 113th Congress so far this year.http://www.govtrack....s/abortion/5897And 69 in the 112th Congress.http://www.govtrack....97#congress=112As of last July Republicans had voted 33 times to repeal the health care law at a cost of 50 million dollars.http://www.cbsnews.c...time/?tag=stackAnd of course the very first bill introduced in the 113th Congress was a bill by Michelle Bachmann to repeal 'Obamacare'.http://myfox8.com/20...113th-congress/That's what Republicans have been doing since they took over the House.Passing bills to restrict women's rights and trying to repeal the ACA.Of course these bills are merely symbolic, because the Republicans know they will go nowhere. So they are just a waste of time and money.

Last night Rachel Maddow did a segment showing how, whatever attempts the GOP is making at the national level at rebranding itself, Republicans at the state level are still trying to intrude into our bedrooms and our marriages.North Carolina Republicans are trying to make it more difficult for married couples to divorce. There will be a two year waiting period, during which time they will mandate you attend state government classes and workshops that are designed to make you not get divorced. There is NO exemption for victims of domestic violence.State Republicans in Texas, Virginia, Alabama and North Dakota are shutting down clinics that perform abortions. Arkansas Republicans have introduced legislation saying that the state can discriminate on the basis of gender. Several states are banning comprehensive sex education. And of course there is the Virginia AG fighting to keep unconstitutional sodomy laws on the books in that state.See post #3143.Watch Video

More than one economist, including Mark Zandi, the chief economist at Moody's Analytics, and Carl Riccadonna, a senior economist at Deutsche Bank, have said that the bills would have almost no effect on job creation in the short term. Short term? It's going on 2 1/2 years, moonbat. And at least their bills would stimulate economic growth, unlike Obama's which either did little or badly hurt the economy. Why do you think it's the worst recovery in roughly 80 years? Why do you think real unemployment is at least 11% and still rising?Because Obama's policies are horrific for the country. And of course the very first bill introduced in the 113th Congress was a bill by Michelle Bachmann to repeal 'Obamacare'.http://myfox8.com/20...113th-congress/ Great. It ought to be. Almost every claim he made about the bill was a blatant lie. It's an absolute disaster that even Democrats are beginning to run from. That's what Republicans have been doing since they took over the House. Passing bills to restrict women's rights and trying to repeal the ACA. Of course these bills are merely symbolic, because the Republicans know they will go nowhere. So they are just a waste of time and money. Heck, given that Reid is killing every bill they pass, they could twiddle their thumbs. Why aren't you blasting Reid for at least allowing a vote on good jobs bills? Many would have passed. Because you're a lying troll for the deeply corrupt Democrat Party.

One of the latest GOP Talking Points is that the number of people on Social Security disability has skyrocketed under Obama, the implication being that the standards to receive such benefits have been relaxed. More of that 'free stuff' that Obama is supposedly giving away in return for votes. The story even managed to bleed over from the right wing blogs to NPR, which provoked a sharp response from 8 former SSA commissioners who wrote an open letter to NPR, in which they pointed out that the growth that we’ve seen was predicted by actuaries as early as 1994 and is mostly the result of two factors: baby boomers entering their high disability years, and women entering the workforce in large numbers in the 1970s and 1980s so that more are now "insured" for DI based on their own prior contributions. They also pointed out that the statutory standard for approval is very strict, and has not changed.IOW Obama has not made it easier for people to collect disability payments. You can read the whole letter here. One of the signatories to the letter, Michael Astrue, who served as a SSA Commissioner under both Bush and Obama appeared on Chris Hayes' program last night.Watch the video.

It was effectively deficit spending that caused the collapse of the Soviet Union, although it "appeared" different because instead of printing money, they simply didn't make enough consumer goods.Liberals at the time glowed over how strong the Soviet economy was and bleated in outrage when Reagan predicted its collapse.Stupid moonbats.Call it Command and Control, Socialism, Communism, there are many variants and they all fail totally or almost so.I was looking for something like "Obama's roaring economy" or somesuch.

I was looking for something like "Obama's roaring economy" or somesuch. Yeah, that glorious 11% real unemployment rate that moonbats don't want to discuss. The country is in the edge of a cliff, but they can't discuss it, because they have no solutions.

I was looking for something like "Obama's roaring economy" or somesuch. Oh please. Please list all the "socialist" policies that Obama has signed into law. Speaking of which, how can Obama be a socialist, when socialism entails democratic government, where workers control the means of production? Last I checked the United States is still an oligarchic, capitalist system. It's really difficult to debate buffoons who have no grasp even on BASIC definitions, like the person above... ROFL There's something else that strikes me as particularly peculiar - after Obama passed his "stimulus" bill, RW liars claimed that it didn't do anything to help the economy, so therefore, deficit spending must not work. Obama also extended the Bush tax cuts for all income groups at the end of 2010 Q4, and the unemployment rate hasn't declined at a faster rate than before (either). Will RW LIARS say the same about the extension of the tax cuts, that its ineffectiveness in practice invalidates the underlying theory? I'm not holding my breath. Mental health is more related to bouncing around without solid morals and values. You have people stabbing others in the back at work to get ahead, cheat on their taxes every year, bang the neighbor's wife... and end up at the doctor with "unknown" depression. ROFL!!!!!A good portion of Americans have absolutely no coping skills or set of principles that help them navigate life other than at the local tavern or medicine cabinet.

One of the newly elected Tea Bagger candidates that Sarah Palin endorsed, Sean (MTV's The Real World) Duffy [R] Wisconsin, has already put his foot in his mouth big time.At a townhall meeting in Amery, Wisconsin last week, the Real Worlds Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) exposed just how out of touch with ordinary Americans he is. According to progressive blog Rightguardia, one constituent an underemployed construction worker explained that his wife, a teacher, may have to take a cut in wages if Wisconsins draconian budget bill goes through. Im just wondering what your wage is and if you guys would be willing to take a cut, he asked Duffy. Displaying that delicate sense of empathy characteristic of conservatives, Duffy whined about his $174,000 congressional salary and his used minivan. When the man pointed out his salary was three times what I make, Duffy reassured him that I have more debt than you. Im not living high off the hog, he added: Constituent: But a hundred and seventy-four thousand, thats three times thats three of my familys three times what I make.Duffy: Well our budgetI moved to cut by 5 percent. I did. You know what, I have no problem..lets have a movement afoot. I walked into this job 6 weeks ago..um that I worked incredibly hard for. And I can guarantee you or most of you, I guarantee that I have more debt than all of you. With 6 kids, I still pay off my student loans. I still pay my mortgage. I drive a used minivan. If you think Im living high off the hog, Ive got one paycheck. So I..I struggle to meet my bills right now. Would it be easier for me if I get more paychecks? Maybe, but at this point Im not living high off the hog.Duffy is certainly no Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), a multimillionaire car alarm mogul. Like many Wisconsinites, he has several kids and, according to his financial disclosure statement, student loans and a mortgage to pay off. But Duffys salary is indeed about three times Wisconsins (and the national) median income. Whats more, Wisconsins unemployment rate is 7.4 percent statewide, and 8.2 percent in Wausau, a city Duffy represents. But if Duffy wants to start getting real and relieve some of that financial burden, he could sell that second home in Iron River, WI he owns. Update: Here's the video of Duffy at the event -- in which he also complains about his government health care package: Misty: Ooooops. Sorry that video is no longer available. The GOP is frantically scrubbing Duffy's videos.GOPers Demand Sean Duffy Salary Tape Be Pulled From The InternetSean Duffy....second from the left...Real World Boston

Captain Sully Sullenberger Blasts Shuster Amendment to the FAA Reauthorization Bill. Says 'it's likely people will die' if it becomes law.Captain Chesley Sully Sullenberger, the airline pilot credited with the Miracle on the Hudson, is taking aim at an amendment offered by U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster (PA-9) that critics claim would scale back aviation safety legislation pushed into law last year by the Families of Continental Flight 3407.Shuster says that his amendment is in keeping with the goals of President Obamas administration to make regulation more efficient, and wont impact safety precautions already in place. The Buffalo News has a thorough analysis of Sullenbergers case in an article that was circulated by national Democrats.I think it represents a giant step backward in terms of aviation safety, said Sullenberger, who argues that Shusters measure would limit the governments ability to to impose tough standards to control pilot fatigue and to bolster pilot experience requirements. If Shusters amendment becomes law, at some point in the future, we dont know when, its likely people will die unnecessarily, Sullenberger said.Shuster commended Sullengberger for his heroism, but disagreed with his characterization of the amendment. Rather, he said, his effort is in keeping with the message of President Obama and Federal Aviation Administrator Randy Babbit.Captain Sullenberger is a well-deserved hero for what he did, and his commitment to passenger safety and airline safety is commendable, said Shuster. I share in the interest of making sure that aviation is safe for passengers, pilots and every sector of the industry. My focus is to make sure that government regulates more efficiently.Shuster spokesman Jeff Urbanchuk likewise disputed claims by the Families of Continental Flight 3407 that the measure would scale back existing safety precautions, specifically a bill they lobbied to pass in 2010.We voted for that bill! Urbanchuk said. We arent looking to scale it back at all.He quoted a 2009 speech by Babbit on the subject of pilot fatigue. In rulemaking, said Babbit at the time, not only does one size not fit all, but it is unsafe to think that it can.The Shuster amendment is designed to take what President Obama and the FAA Administrator have been saying, and put it into the FAA reauthorization, Urbanchuk said. Its a process amendment that doesnt go after any rule in particular, let alone pilot safety. Its not retroactive. It would have no impact on previous rule-making, or rule-making thats in the pipeline. It would be forward-looking at regulations that havent been added into the process yet.The House Rules Committee today (March 31st) voted to send Shusters amendment to the floor.Shusters amendment has a strong chance of passing the GOP-led House, but its expected to face a more difficult path through the Senate.PoliticsPASully appeared on the Ed Shultz show last night to talk about this Amendment, and to support Collective Bargaining rights.VIDEO
