Hi Misty. If it is a MUSLIM ban why are the only countries affected the 7 countries from Obama's list?

If this was a MUSLIM ban why aren't Egypt, Turkey, Saudi, Kuwait, Indonesia, Qatar, Dubai, UAE, and a whole host of other nations not on the list?

Seems kinda odd, don't ha think?

And tell me, why does the Dubai Security Chief support the ban?

Personally I don't give a **** what it's called.
45 talked about instituting a Muslim ban during the campaign so that's what people call it.
Besides, it's easier to say Muslim ban than it is 'a 90-day freeze on travel by citizens of Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Syria, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen.'

But what you don't recognize is the during the campaign HE WALKED THAT BACK REALIZING HIS MISTAKE.

You should call it what the EO calls it:

The EO imposes a 90-day suspension of immigrant and nonimmigrant admission of aliens from countries designated in section 217(a)(12) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), which excludes aliens who have been present in a specified country from participating in the Visa Waiver program

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/i ... ctly-legal

Which I are the countries designated by Obama for extra scrutiny re immigration.

On this one show some honesty and admit IT IS NOT A MUSLIM BAN.

We're told we're supposed to respect the office if not the man, but does 45 respect the dignity of the office?
Is the commander in chief also acting as the troller in chief?

President Trump on Monday morning ridiculed Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, who became emotional Sunday while condemning the president's travel ban, which temporarily bars travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries.

"I noticed Chuck Schumer yesterday with fake tears," Trump said during an Oval Office photo op with small-business leaders.

"I'm going to ask him who is his acting coach."

Trump went on, " 'Cause I know him. I don't see him as a crier."

He added: "There's about a 5 percent chance it was real.

But I think they were fake tears."

The statement was remarkable for the setting and the vitriol.

Of course, presidents often have their differences with congressional leaders, especially from the opposition party.

But rarely, if ever, do they call them out by name and question the sincerity of their tears.

It's also odd for a president to use photo sprays — where the media are invited in for what are typically short moments to get pictures — to level insults at political opponents.

Trump had previously called Schumer the "head clown" in the Senate.

http://www.npr.org/2017/01/30/512467231 ... tive-order
I would bet good money that 45 never shed a tear in his whole life, except maybe that day when he ran out of hairspray.

President Trump’s right-hand man Steve Bannon called for Christian holy war: Now he’s on the National Security Council

Steve Bannon, President Donald Trump’s right-hand man, made what was essentially a call for a Christian holy war in a speech in a international conference only a few years ago.

In remarks to a 2014 conference at the Vatican, Bannon warned his Christian audience, “We’re at the very beginning stages of a very brutal and bloody conflict.”

“We are in an outright war against jihadists, Islam, Islamic fascism,” Bannon continued.

He likewise condemned “the immense secularization of the West” and the increasing secularism among millennials.

Bannon stressed that “the people in this room, and the people in the Church” must “bind together and really form what I feel is an aspect of the Church militant, to really be able to not just stand with our beliefs but to fight for our beliefs against this new barbarity that’s starting that will literally eradicate everything that we’ve been bequeathed over the last 2,000 and 2,500 years.”

In his speech, Bannon articulated a view of the world as a constant conflict between the capitalist “Judeo-Christian West,” which is a benevolent force of “enlightenment,” and the malevolent forces of socialism, atheism, and Islam.

Trump’s chief strategist, who will now play a crucial role in crafting U.S. foreign policy and sit in on meetings of the National Security Council Principals Committee, has been described even by hard-line conservatives as an extremist.

Ultra-right-wing pundit Glenn Beck compared Bannon to the Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, a close ally of Adolf Hitler, and said the Trump campaign was “grooming Brownshirts,” in reference to Nazi paramilitaries.

According to Beck, Bannon is “quite possibly the most dangerous guy in all of American politics.”

Republican strategist John Weaver, who worked on Republican John Kasich’s 2016 presidential campaign, likewise warned that, with Bannon as Trump’s chief strategist, “The racist, fascist extreme right is represented footsteps from the Oval Office.”

(The Ku Klux Klan and American Nazi Party praised Trump for appointing Bannon to his top positions.)

Bannon made these holy war remarks in a speech — which has previously been reported on by BuzzFeed — at the 2014 International Conference on Human Dignity, the third annual meeting organized by the Rome-based Christian organization Dignitatis Humanae Institute.

The Dignitatis Humanae Institute is a religious group that advocates for “the active participation of the Christian faith in the public square.”

It promotes what it calls “authentic human dignity” by, in its words, “supporting Christians in public life, assisting them in presenting effective and coherent responses to increasing efforts to silence the Christian voice in the public square.”

Easier, and yet a lie.

What Trump has done, is the same thing Obama did:
In December 2015, Obama signed the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act as part of an omnibus spending bill. The legislation restricted access to the Visa Waiver Program, which allows citizens from 38 countries who are visiting the United States for less than 90 days to enter without a visa.

Though outside groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union and NIAC Action — the sister organization of the National Iranian American Council — opposed the act, the bipartisan bill passed through Congress with little pushback.

At the initial signing of the restrictions, foreigners who would normally be deemed eligible for a visa waiver were denied if they had visited Iran, Syria, Sudan or Iraq in the past five years or held dual citizenship from one of those countries.

In February 2016, the Obama administration added Libya, Somali and Yemen to the list of countries one could not have visited — but allowed dual citizens of those countries who had not traveled there access to the Visa Waiver Program. Dual citizens of Syria, Sudan, Iraq and Iran are still ineligible, however.

So, in a nutshell, Obama restricted visa waivers for those seven Muslim-majority countries — Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen — and now, Trump is looking to bar immigration and visitors from the same list of countries.
But suddenly everyone is pissed off at Trump and says he's actions are unconstitutional!
Imagine that.

Steve Bannon, Trump's Top Guy, Told Me He Was 'A Leninist' Who Wants To ‘Destroy the State’

8-22-16

I met Steve Bannon—the executive director of Breitbart.com who’s now become the chief executive of the Trump campaign, replacing the newly resigned Paul Manafort at a book party held in his Capitol Hill townhouse on Nov. 12, 2013.

Then we had a long talk about his approach to politics.

He never called himself a “populist” or an “American nationalist,” as so many think of him today.

“I’m a Leninist,” Bannon proudly proclaimed.

Shocked, I asked him what he meant.

“Lenin,” he answered, “wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too.

I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.”

Bannon was employing Lenin’s strategy for Tea Party populist goals.

He included in that group the Republican and Democratic Parties, as well as the traditional conservative press.

Riding on the Metro to the party, I read an article that had just been posted on National Review Online and in TownHall.com by Thomas Sowell, the conservative economist, in which he opposed the tactics used by the Tea Party in shutting down the government.

I then asked Bannon whether or not he had read Sowell's piece, since Bannon was in favor of the very Tea Party tactic that Sowell had criticized.

“National Review and The Weekly Standard,” he said, “are both left-wing magazines, and I want to destroy them also.”

He added that “no one reads them or cares what they say.”

His goal was to bring down the entire establishment including the leaders of the Republican Party in Congress.

Here is what Giuliani ACTUALLY said, not what Misty believes:
When he first announced it, he said Muslim ban. He called me up, he said put a commission together, show me the right way to do it legally.
I put a commission together and what we did was we focused on, instead of religion, danger. The areas of the world that create danger for us, which is a factual basis, not a religious basis. Perfectly legal, perfectly sensible, and that’s what the ban is based on.
It's not based on religion.

You are incorrect. There are 7 countries that Obama designated as trouble spots. Trump didn't name them in the EO. He referred to the Obama list. There are 50 majority MUSLIM countries in the world. So not a ban on muslims. You now have the truth, so that means you are intentionally being DISHONEST.

Next, Obama walked back the ban on muslims comments almost immediately upon saying it. So you now have the truth on that. So on this you are being DISHONEST, intentionally.

Trump is not making this seem like a religious war. Not by SUSPENDING travel from 7 countries, the MSM and their minions repeating this are playing right into their hands. Yes, you are.

You know better. And that is why people get pissed at you, do you do it on purpose to increase post count?

Mnuchin Lied About His Bank's History Of Robo-signing Foreclosure Documents

TREASURY SECRETARY NOMINEE Steven Mnuchin lied in his written responses to the Senate Finance Committee, claiming that “OneWest Bank did not ‘robo-sign’ documents,” when ample evidence proves that they did.
So in addition to failing to disclose 100 million dollars of his assets and the fact that he ran an off shore investment fund/tax haven he lied to Congress about robo-signing.

Drain the swamp.

Another liar.
Rep. Tom Price got a privileged offer to buy a biomedical stock at a discount, the company’s officials said, contrary to his congressional testimony this month.

The Georgia Republican tapped by President Donald Trump to be secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services testified in his Senate confirmation hearings on Jan. 18 and 24 that the discounted shares he bought in Innate Immunotherapeutics Ltd., an Australian medical biotechnology company, “were available to every single individual that was an investor at the time.”

In fact, the cabinet nominee was one of fewer than 20 U.S. investors who were invited last year to buy discounted shares of the company—an opportunity that, for Mr. Price, arose from an invitation from a company director and fellow congressmen.
