We're gas heat...I don't know what the effect might be on that.


I still have all my ice fishing clothes...including a winter coat that's more like an insulated pup tent.

No one is running out of diesel fuel.  Its easy enough to convert other forms of gasoline to diesel.  E10, for example can have its octane lowered by doing the following:

• Add water to the fuel
• agitate it a little and then let it sit.
• All of the alcohol will absorb the water and separate out
• What you have left is lower octane fuel which will run in diesel engines.

There are other ways to lower the octane of other fuels as well.  There you go, Tucker, problem solved.

Where's the army of sitting truckers and electricity suppliers?
Having coffee while this delay takes place?
Might as well have an eSemi charging on solar in the back too.

I''m just stating a fact.  The only difference between regular gas and diesel is the extra **** they add to fuel to raise the octane to something that can be used spark-plug engines.

I'm not going to research how unsimple this plan is.
Let's just say that pumping diesel fuel into a tank and continuing whatever the task at hand is would be crippled by comparison to some makeshift prepper's method.

I'm not arguing that.  It would use up the gas supply to keep the diesel equipment like 18 wheelers moving. The real answer is producing more oil in our own country.
