The mere fact that such a matter had to come to a vote tells me the situation is dire.Sumela » 01 Oct 2023, 10:05 pm » wrote: ↑ They did. Voted 60/40 to stop tent cities under bridges

Everything done since Trump entered office has been a political hit job...ConservativeWave » 01 Oct 2023, 6:43 pm » wrote: ↑ Based on the property in question and IF the smaller properties in the area are correct... BUT, a Price in the $100-$150 million range or MORE would be reasonable... AND.. the BIGGER QUESTION would be is:
WHAT the HELL is a Judge from New York City, and who knows NOTHING about the Florida Real estate market, ACCUSING Donald Trump of FRAUD relating to the price of a property like THIS, and LOW BALLING what HE thinks it SHOULD be worth? ...AND to have the GALL to Accuse Trump of FRAUD? THIS is a POLITICAL HIT JOB... plain and simple... and THAT Judge should be REMOVED from the case... IMMEDIATELY !!

Hey simpleton, that judge has no business in determining anything.maineman » 01 Oct 2023, 8:16 pm » wrote: ↑ So you honestly think that $1.5BILLION is a reasonable price for Mar-a-Lago?
If you want to criticize the judge for undervaluing it, you should be just as quick to criticize Trump for overvaluing it. THAT is, in fact, a crime.
There is no legitimate criminal complaint coming from a victim that was harmed ....
After day ONE of the Trump "Fraud" case trial... it appears that 80% of the case brought by the CORRUPT New York DA... is OVER !! Trump announced today, that based on the Judges comments after day one of the trial... that:Majik » 02 Oct 2023, 4:52 pm » wrote: ↑ There is no legitimate criminal complaint coming from a victim that was harmed ....
From what I heard and understood on the news, per the executive law being cited in this case, that is not necessary in order to obtain a conviction. They don't have to prove anyone was harmed, that there was the intent to defraud and the fact that a "sophisticated recipient" were given the statements is not a defense. All it takes, under the law, is that persistent exaggerations were made. The fact lenders did their own due diligence, made informed lending decisions and we completely repaid is irrelevant to the case.Majik » 02 Oct 2023, 4:52 pm » wrote: ↑ There is no legitimate criminal complaint coming from a victim that was harmed ....
Persistent exaggerations ? I didn't write the law...just relaying what I heard reported (so take it for what it's worth). However, in this case nobody was attempting to sell property.Majik » 03 Oct 2023, 7:54 am » wrote: ↑ Persistent exaggerations ? In the Real Estate business?
The seller has every right to determine what he/she/it will sell their property for .....
what this trial is trying to do besides trying to get Trump is to set a dangerous precedent where by the state will determine what a property sells for and not the owner ....
For years the left and their equity for all crap in NY has salivated over the prospect of devaluation of property in NY so that anybody can afford to live in places like Manhattan.
I think ONE of the things that will ultimately weigh into the decision in this case... it that... THERE WERE NO VICTIMS !!ConsRule » 03 Oct 2023, 8:11 am » wrote: ↑ I didn't write the law...just relaying what I heard reported (so take it for what it's worth). I did find this story about the law.

I understand what you are saying and I agree with you. However (as it was explained on the news) the parts I highlighted in red ARE NOT NECESSARY for there to be a crime under the NY law used in this case. There doesn't even need to be an intent to defraud.ConservativeWave » 03 Oct 2023, 10:30 am » wrote: ↑ I think ONE of the things that will ultimately weigh into the decision in this case... it that... This was NOT a case brought by a BANK, or a CREDITOR... AND, NO ONE lost any money... SURE... maybe TRUMP estimated what he thought the property was worth... BUT, THAT was HIS OPINION! The BANKS are not obligated to use Trumps words as the "ULTIMATE TRUTH"... they have their OWN Real Estate experts, and Lawyers, and THEY ultimately DID THEIR DUE DILIGENCE... and MADE THEIR OWN DECISION... BUT, NONE OF THEM brought these charges...
THESE CHARGES were brought by a RADICAL LIBERAL Democrat DA, who HAS a Liberal Agenda to DEFEAT and DESTROY Donald Trump... and THAT is the DEFINITION of the "Weaponization of the Federal Government AGAINST a private citizen" !
What I'm looking forward to is when Trump wins, is the lawsuits HE FILES against these SOB Democrats and their CONTEMPTIBLE Party !!
Why would anyone do business in NYC? Would think something speculative like property value would allow for some degree of promotion, of exaggeration. What is sales if not telling customers they can't live without your product and the product you currently have is ****? Do they allow used car sales in NYC?ConsRule » 03 Oct 2023, 7:14 am » wrote: ↑ From what I heard and understood on the news, per the executive law being cited in this case, that is not necessary in order to obtain a conviction.
