This is not a case that involves sales...this is a case that involves valuations (and there is a difference). The value of anything that has just gone through a sales transaction is easy and very cut and dried. There is proof of the value. This case is about setting values of things to be used as collateral, and under the NY law used making repeated and consistent misrepresentations, even if no party was harmed, is all that is necessary.Neo » 03 Oct 2023, 10:53 am » wrote: ↑ Why would anyone do business in NYC? There are LOTS of similar laws... MOST of which are NEVER used, because they are HAIR BRAINED, and serve no purpose except to HARASS someone who NOT Guilty. What you say MAY be correct... Also, while the part highlighted in green is also true...under the NY law used in this case that IS NOT a defense...it is completely irrelevant to the pertinent law.
Basically, this law is a "We don't like you so we are going to charge you with a crime for which there is no realistic defense, get a conviction, seize much of your business and fine the hell out of you" law.
This is NOT a federal case, it is a state case using a very strangely written (and rarely used) law so virtually all the typical defenses/processes you are accustomed to are "N/A". Lastly, Trump will not win this case. The finding of guilt has already been handed down by the judge in this case...what is taking place now is basically the penalty phase. Probably the best Trump can hope for is it being overturned on appeal or finding something in the law that violates the US Constitution.
JUST as you say that "guilt has already been handed down by the (Radical hand picked Liberal) judge in this case"...
I believe the in the COURT of Public Opinion, America is beginning to see CLEARLY that THIS is Part of a Witch Hunt, by a WEAPONIZED Federal Government... and that a determination of GUILT is being handed down by the AMERICAN PEOPLE... AS WE SPEAK... in VARIOUS opinion Polls, the Supreme Courts ruling refusing to ban Trump from running for President, and SOON, the American People will have the opportunity to SPEAK CLEARLY, and LOUDLY at the BALLOT Box...
IT IS TIME for this DARK PERIOD of our History to be BROUGHT into the LIGHT... to be EXERCISED, and PURGED... OTHERWISE, we are LOSING this Nation !!

I believe, in the court of public opinion, a large majority of people don't give a **** about what is happening to Trump. They are tired hearing about him and are taking the position he brought this on himself because of his ego and non-stop bluster. Ego aside... WHO ELSE could have dealt with the FURY of the Deep State after the 2016 election... the Mueller investigation, TWO impeachments, FAKE accusation after FAKE accusation, and COVID ( was THAT PART of the deep states efforts also? )... and STILL HE had ONE HELL of a successful Presidency, with DOZENS of accomplishments, and Successes, SOME of them the democrats COUL NOT bring themselves to eliminate BECAUSE they were so good !! AND NOW, the Democrats have dozens of indictments and charges against Trump, they have him in court on charges that Previous DA's would NOT BRING... and a Supreme Court charge to BLOCK him from running for President (which was dismissed yesterday)... AND STILL Trump is out there... campaigning, and WINNING !!
THIS tells ME PERSONALLY a few things:
1) Trump is ON HELL of a FIGHTER !
2) Trump is ONE HELL of a LEADER !
3) Trump is ONE HELL of a STRATEGIST !
4) Trump is ONE HELL of a WINNER,
5) Trump makes the Democrats TERRIFIED that HE WILL WIN AGAIN, and
6) Trump WILL MAKE ONE HELL of a President... AGAIN !!
This is what Puts Donald Trump HEAD and SHOULDERS above all of the other WANNABES... DESPITE of his "Ego"... which personally, I think is just CONFIDENCE... BUT which that makes all his competitors feel INADEQUATE...
Donald Trump is winning the Public opinion battle... IN SPITE of everything... HE IS the ONLY CHOICE in 2024...

I think EITHER DeSantis, or Haley (Rahmswanny is just too much of an unknown quantity)... depending on who he "meshes" better, and/or has the better relationship, with... EITHER could be a GREAT VP, and might be a shoe in as the NEXT President !
