I was speaking to my Dad about this story earlier today, he's 93 and a Korean War combat Vet (Bronze Star, Purple Heart)..... I don't know how anyone could be okay with this --- but evidently those who facilitated it are...

According to the story, the assisted living facility was SOLD to a non profit six months before any of this happened. I'm not sure how the new owners were responsible for the previous owners kicking these people out.

And? As always, you deflect from the point all in the name of defending your party. The point is that we live in a progressive society where migrants are put before our vets. Sold as a non-profit, not sold as a non-profit. Who cares? 6 months ago, or this morning. Who cares? Irrelevant. Nobody is claiming that it was an illegal transaction. The point is that it is wrong.

It wasn't sold as a non profit. It was sold to a non profit.

Again, I never said that the sale was illegal. The new owners have no responsibility to the previous owner's tenants.
The PREVIOUS OWNER kicked out the tenants because the new owners didn't want to continue the business as an assisted living.
The new owners have the right to use the building for whatever purpose they want.

He wasn't kicked out because of migrants; he was kicked out because the assisted living ceased to exist and the building was sold. The new owners don't have any responsibility to the previous tenants.

That is the legal part of it. It's about the morality of it. I don't care who owns what or who decided what?
