The previous owner kicked them out and then sold the building. The new owners bought an empty building. I had something similar happen to me. When I retired I moved into a 55+ building built in the 1970's. 2 years later the owners said that the building required repairs that would make it impossible to make a profit without drastically increasing the rent. Plus the prime downtown land had become incredibly valuable. They moved everybody out, demolished the building, and made a killing on the land sale. There is now a luxury condo building on the site.
They told everybody that they had to get out at the end of their leases. Some of the people who were ready to sign new !eases had to get out very quickly.
And again, the previous owner ended the business and threw the people out. The non profit bought an empty building.

I am used to progressives being lying hypocrites. Her lying and hypocrisy doesn't phase me, because it should be expected from them. What bothers me about Ode is that she claims to be a Christian. She is a wolf among the sheep in wolf's clothing. I am certain that God doesn't see her as a Christian. She sees herself as one, but that doesn't mean God sees her as one.
