I spent 4 years active duty and yeah the military is largely a place where losers can make a living [with a retirement program too] if they keep their boots shined and show up for work on time.maineman » 06 Oct 2023, 10:36 am » wrote: ↑ https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-rips-k ... 49407.html
It's been out there as an allegation for a long time, and many on here have staunchly pushed back against it saying it was totally unsubstantiated.

Sadly part of this "sweet deal" is that some of the "Losers" can get ordered into battles 1/2 way around the world that they really don't want to fight.
The dregs of society have been dying like this for centuries yet Snowflake Maineman can't handle the truth when it comes from Trump.

There were more 3 star and up Generals in the Army than there were men with my MOS.maineman » 06 Oct 2023, 3:10 pm » wrote: ↑ one and done, eh?
I figured as much. Did you even get a chance to take the E4 exam, or were you strictly a go-fer?
So was *gasp* Rudolf Hess

When it came time to go before the E5 Board I had to write the technical questions FOR the board members that they needed to ask me....![]()
I also scored very high on the MOS proficiency exam which was my foot in the door to be the very first hand picked GLLD Repairman....trained directly by the techs that designed the Ground Laser Target Designator at Hughes Aerospace in Culver City.
It's basically the same unit you see in use today.
I spent more than 1/2 my time TDY for GLLD related R&D / Survivability testing at places like White Sands or Ft Carson. or Aberdeen.
They even shot one of those military "training films" with me in it......![]()
So yeah..your butthurt and hatred of the truth is duly noted.

Trump had the Afgan withdrawal planned and timed with Afgan compliance. Biden engaged in a miscall of foreign policy AGAIN.maineman » 06 Oct 2023, 10:36 am » wrote: ↑ https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-rips-k ... 49407.html

There's numerous of them that said he never said such a thing..
Concern was nato would use Ukraine to threaten the security of Russia. Appears their concerns were justified. Keeping Ukraine out of nato is a hill Russia is prepared to die on. Our support and inflammation of this conflict will be used as justification for Russia to have a larger buffer zone between them and a now un debatable hostile coalition. I think we should stop this before it predictably escalates. Is Ukraine nato membership worth the destruction of humanity? We should stop supplying weapons, demand a cease fire, and negotiate? Is that kneeling? Is that pro.putin?
WTF are you blabbering about now Oh Butthurt One...?
Butt hurt? Why would I be butt hurt about the life saga of a one-and-done enlistee who worked on electronic gear for a few years in the Army and then got discharged? Throughout my Navy career, I met a lot of guys who were not committed to serving their country and were only spinning their wheels for four years while they figured out what was next for them. I also met a lot of guys who wanted to make the Navy their career. I have zero inclination to think much about the former, and lots of the latter are still my shipmates and friends to this day.GHETTOBLASTER » 06 Oct 2023, 5:01 pm » wrote: ↑ WTF are you blabbering about now Oh Butthurt One...?
