Just another prime example as to why liberals should not be allowed to vote or hold any authority at any level in policy making. They are too stupid.

I am 100% behind the concept - 100%.

A failure of execution =/= failure of the idea.

CASKET???

Enough of your regressive patriarchal nonsense, sir.

In all seriousness, we need more funeral homes practicing this idea - with better execution, one hopes.

I'm no progressive, but I would prefer to go out au natural, in deference to good stewardship of the earth.

Why poison soil - to what end?

In old towns all across the USA there are cemeteries right where businesses could be located.
Some of the cemeteries are close to capacity.
Eventually something has to give.

I do not have a big concern about the problematic permanency of grave yards. It IS an obvious inconvenience, but I am convinced that we can build up rather than out in most cases.

I DO get that it is an issue we need to confront, and I certainly believe we should pave over and re-use as soon as possible - perhaps a few generations after the last deposit.

But I see it as a not very pressing issue.

I view the wanton contamination of the soil with chemicalized corpses as the bigger issue.

The earth is fluid in the fullness of time, and everything moves over time.

composting on purpose works

decomposing in the corner does not

https://recompose.life/death-care/#our-services
SOIL TRANSFORMATIONAt the time of laying in, our staff places the body into a composting vessel surrounded by a mixture of wood chips, alfalfa, and straw carefully calibrated for each individual. Much like the moment when a body is interred into the earth during a burial, the laying in represents a moment of transition. The vessel is closed and the transformation into soil begins. The process, lasting eight to twelve weeks, will be tailored to your person and managed by the leading experts in human composting.GIVING BACKOnce complete, similar to ashes from a cremation, the soil can be used however you choose—to enrich a garden, plant a tree, or spread across multiple locations. Recompose partners with conservation organizations, so you can choose to donate some, or all, of the soil to nourish and revitalize protected lands.

How come the greenies aren't onto all the ***acres**** of dead bodies- put in the ground because of religion.? taking up land?
I haven't buried anyone like that?
but it is fun- to walk a cemetery- and see a gravestone of a dead person a hundred years old.
And imagine what their life was like- their jobs- life?
