I mean, think about it.

Hamas has to know that all they are doing is swatting a hornets nest when they do this **** and they always end up getting their *** kicked at the end of the day whenever they pull this ****.

What is the motive, other than just killing Joos?

Maybe that is the motive?

Here's the deal.  While most Palestinians are stuck living in Gaza, the Hamas leaders are generally free to move among a number of sympathetic Arab nations.  They make tons of money off of sympathy for the Palestinians.  Their job is to gin up hate for the Israelis.

Israel kills one or two top Hamas leaders every now and again, but that's about it. So, when the world turned its attention to Ukraine, when the Arab nations looked like they were going to strike peace deals with Israel, Hamas leaders saw that they were about to lose a huge sugar-tit.  So, they did what they do best.

So... is Hamas just blowing smoke when they say they want to erase Israel from the map or no?

From what you are saying they are more likely to want to keep Israel around so they have a bad guy to point at and say look, over there... dats the bad guy!

They leave the lower ranks to fight the Israelis.  Yes, Hamas hates the Jews and wants to eradicate them.  They teach all of the Palestinians to do the same and actively recruit operatives among them.  They do in fact want to eradicate all of Israel. But, that doesn't mean the top leaders would waste opportunities to enrich themselves and provide for their own safety when the SHTF.

I see Israel acting defensively and the Islamics acting offensively......therein lies the difference.
