I don't support anyone's complete annihilation of anyone else, and, if Israel does NOT want to keep the entire muslim world, which outnumbers them and is infinitely wealthier than they are, revved up and hungry for Jew blood for the next hundred years, maybe they should find a way to temper their response just a little bit, after they have eye-for-an-eye paid the Gazan's back for their reckless misadventure.

Are you really silly enough to believe that, if Israel overdid it with their punitive response to Hamas's terrorism, such "extravagance" would not unify the arab/muslim world against them. Count up the world's Jews. Count up the world's muslims... those aren't good odds.

Skans Scenario: Israel sends ground troops coupled with bombs, missiles, flame throwers, whatever it takes to completely level all of Gaza. Then, smoke out the bad guys hiding in the tunnels and summarily execute them, taking no prisoners. Also, allowing no information in or out, and incinerating the biological remains. Gaza would be a blank slate upon which the Israelis would create their own settlements and infrastructure, without even one Palestinian. Skans thinks Arabs understand and respect that kind of brutality.

Netanyahu Lite: Troops go into Gaza, occupy some key parts of it, round up all of the militants and terrorists and incarcerate them in some desert hell-hole until it comes time to exchange prisoners in some other war. Then, Israel allows the Palestinians who are terrorists, but claim not to be terrorists, back in to rebuild and hate on Israel some more in 10 years.
Maineman: Israel goes into Gaza and kills as many combatants and civilians as Hamas killed Israelis. Call it a day and leave. Arabs perceive that as a total loss for Israel, Hamas pumps more rockets into the hidden tunnels and attacks Israel again 8 months from now.
