it resulted in fatalities? I know it would depend on what state it happened in. However, should their be any penalties? I say no. Usually there are no penalties for hitting jaywalkers who aren't in crosswalks. They put themselves in harm's way. This should be treated the same way. They are putting themselves in harm's way.

In most municipalities, pedestrians have the right of way... which was the only way these "protesters" could get away with shutting down roads and highways and such.

Several areas have passed ordinances now that say it's acceptable run their stupid asses over if they intentionally blocking the roadway.

We’re not talking about walking in front of the bus

we are talking about people’s right to protest in this country 

but I guess you are right

protesters shouldn’t inconvenience anyone

So, if one of your kids was injured and bleeding out and the ambulance/EMT was stuck in traffic behind a BLM protest then... too bad for your kid?

I guess as long as the protesters rights weren't violated huh?

Yep. If they are blocking traffic, then yes. I couldn't care less what the hell their cause was. People need to work. They have to make a living.

So if I wanted to stage a protest right outside your neighborhood every morning from 7-9am for a week and keep you from being able to leave your house, you would be okay with that.

Another thing they don't seem to get is it's a "right to peacefully assemble"... and impeding traffic and essential services isn't peaceful in the least.

It's frustrating to have to dumb **** down that much. I mean, I can understand trying to translate certain constitutional clauses, but this? God man. Their stupidity knows no bounds.

It's like when someone feels like shouting someone down or getting a speaking event shut completely down even is just exercising their right to free speech... yet they never consider the speech of the person they just denied the same right in the process.
