You are one dumb mother ****. No, *******. They are not meant to disrupt. If you don't know the difference between holding a demonstration to voice political dissent vs holding a disruption, then nobody can help you. Demonstrations don't disrupt. They voice themselves.

In most municipalities, pedestrians have the right of way... which was the only way these "protesters" could get away with shutting down roads and highways and such.

Several areas have passed ordinances now that say it's acceptable run their stupid asses over if they intentionally blocking the roadway.

1. What is the point of the Bill of Rights if our individual rights, such as those trying to get work to make a living,  aren't protected?

2. Why do we have a law against disturbing the peace if protests are allowed to disturb the peace?

What if the ambulances couldn't get to the protesters that had been run over because the protesters were causing traffic jams?

I would call that just deserts.
