This is sad. Ireland used to be a great country. It's a shame to watch their society decay. Our society is far worse though. They have a ways to go to catch up to how far our society has crumbled.

SAD WHATS HAPPENING.
I WAS THERE 15 YEARS AGO IN BELFAST FOR A WEDDING IN A CASTLE IN WHICH I GOT TO STAY FOR A WEEK. MET A HISTORIAN THERE WHO GAVE ME A GOOD BIT OF THE HISTORY. SHOWED ME WHERE THE NAZIS CAMPED OUT AND HOW THE IRA GAVE THEM WHEREABOUTS OF JEWS LIVING THERE IN EXCHANGE FOR HELP FROM THE BRITS. NAZIS WANTED NO PART OF IRELAND AND LEFT. THEN A TRIP TO DUBLIN INCLUDED A VISIT TO THE GUINESS MANUFACTURING PLANT.   GOOD TIME

I said **** touring guinness and went to a pub and ordered guinness. 

I tried a murphys in cork - it's their version of guinness. I tried one out of respect to the locals. 

Then I went back to drinking guinness. 

The irish were a pretty remarkable people - optimistic, outdoorsey, masculine and feminine in the right degree, reasonably socialist and reasonably capitalist - extremely respectful of their elders, beyond anything I had seen in any other culture. I am saddened that they are overcome.
 

            I'm wondering if this idiocy is limited to the Republic down south, and Northern Ireland has exempted itself from it... It wouldn't surprise me to see  if the Irish farmers work out another scheme involving livestock shuffled across the borders & back to defraud their government and tax system... They did this for years with Pigs..  Many people make their living off that border through all kinds of smuggling schemes.... 

           I've been to Northern Ireland 5 or 6 times, never made it down to the Republic... Love South Armagh, did some good Salmon fishing there...Most insane Pubs were probably in Crossmaglen.. Stuck with the Guinness & Harp... It was amusing though seeing American Budweiser in the Can had quite a following with the youths..  Huge Police station there, converted from when it was a British Army fort ---- never saw any of the Cops (PSNI), they seemed too terrified to step outside the Station.. 

           Bangor, Warrenpoint, Bushmills were also nice.... Had a better time in Derry than Belfast..  I was treated well in both communities... I was told they'd actually built more of those "Peace Walls" since the Good Friday agreement to keep the calm --- but the **** kicks up every July with Loyalist marching season..  But even Northern Ireland is not without their undesirables ---- **** Roma Gypsies (not to be mistaken for Irish Travelers, who also aren't very much beloved members of the populace)... I was in a pub in Cullyhanna when a group of about 20 Travelers walked in --- every single local walked out...  I also saw a good number of immigrants from Poland in Derry & Belfast, but they seemed to be good hard working folks that fit in well....

I doubt this is the sentiment of Northern Ireland.

        Hadn't heard the Jewish angle before regarding the IRA and Nazis... 
Though there is definitely truth to the IRA having sought a possible collaboration with the Nazis as early as 1937-1938..... The IRA saw Germany as a potential path to a UNited Ireland, by helping to weaken the British and share intelligence.

I have them all hooked up to the robotic milking machine right now.  It keeps their shipping weight down, and I can pass some of the savings onto Bob.
