An 80-year-old sex offender has been punched in the face in court by his victim after he was given a suspended sentence. Tylor Fu, 29, testified against Richard Gross during proceedings in which he was charged with 26 felony counts of the sexual abuse of a child. But Gross, who was described as a family friend, secured a plea deal and managed to avoid jail time after admitting an Alford plea . This means the defendant does not admit committing the crime but accepts prosecutors have enough evidence to secure a conviction. Gross entered the plea to one felony count of attempted lewdness with a child under the age of 14. Fu was shocked at the sentencing and lashed out at his former abuser in the Nevada courtroom during sentencing on October 2. Gross had to be taken to hospital to be treated following the altercation. Fu, who said he was abused between the ages of eight and 15, told 8 News Now: ‘I was extremely angry. I know he’s old, but that doesn’t change anything like that, doesn’t change the damage that he caused, the horrific effects that I had to live through for decades, and it was not justice at all.’ He added: ‘It just doesn’t make sense how someone can abuse a child multiple times and just walk away without any prison time’
