My daughter works in a Dementia unit at a nursing home. She was making $12 per hour under Trump, and makes $22 per hour under Biden. She was barely making it paycheck to paycheck. She has been working a lot of overtime because of the labor shortage, and paid off her new SUV in 2 years. She just bought her land, and will start building a house in the spring.
My grandson wasn't doing very well during Trump. He couldn't make it, and I was constantly having to help him out. He has a job for $28 per hour. He is saving up for a down payment on a condo.
We currently drive old cars, the local shop does a decent job for the price and as you said, parts have become expensive!sootedupCyndi » 06 Nov 2023, 3:36 pm » wrote: ↑ It will be election day here in Maine soon- That does concern me? We have 2 on the Ballot.
Is the right to have the independents mechanics- fix your own car?
As the cars get more get more complicated- bid tech is controlling all the tech- with their computers... Their circling their wagons- and they want the bucks!
They don't want anyone out there --- taking care of our cars! Lots of us have used cars here- we all don't drive 30k cars
The next thing is the control of our electric grid.
I cant vote? i will never vote again! they are such liars!
Why is it you accept defeat against anything created intellectually forward now? instincts existed prior to intellectual possibilities life isn't self evident evolving in one's own skin for the precise time evolving lasts since conceived occupying time inhabiting space specifically here. That kind of philosophy comes from people that don't want to know what corrupted their ancestry so far.Fuelman » 06 Nov 2023, 5:27 pm » wrote: ↑ We currently drive old cars, the local shop does a decent job for the price and as you said, parts have become expensive!
Colorado has a couple also, mostly money grabs for state government. That's a no for me.
The Euro Zone is coming, it can't be stopped. Maybe not fully in our lifetime, but it's creeping in.
