Many people argue/believe that the collapse of the Soviet Union and the overall failures of communism (or what passed as communism in the 20th century) invalidates Marxist theory.

There is also the issue of the labor theory of value (LTV) being false - that is, value isn't expressed solely based on labor input.

The goal here is not to counter these points of views - despite the fact that Marx did commit a great number of errors, he performed 2 notable feats:

1) Expanded on classical economists' doctrines

Most people who scream about "Marxism killed 100 gazillion people" etc. nonsense (Keep in mind these same retards always say "guns don't kill people - people kill people"; then they ascribe 100 million deaths to a philosophy) fail to appreciate that Marxist economics is actually final "child" - the sole legacy - of classical economics, which carries far more weight than the lies and propaganda pushed by the neoclassical - today neoliberal - schools of economics.

2) Pushed his theory of TRPF - Tendency of the Rate of Profit to Fall

Even today, the TRPF is heavily debated (there is no consensus among economists - whether mainstream or alternative). I personally subscribe to the view as empirical data suggests this tendency is real.

For anyone who refuses to read further, allow me to point out that "General Equilibrium Theory" was accepted by mainstream economists for some 100-odd years after Marx published his first work in economics before it was finally discredited. (Yet conservatives and liberTARDians still think - in 2023 - that GET resembles DA TROOF!)

An In-Depth Look at the RP based on capital stock/depreciation of capital investments (Long Read - probably 20 min):

https://nicolasdvillarreal.substack.com ... -of-profit

Note this important line:
From this perspective, the late 70s represented an existential moment for the American capitalist class. In 1929 they could earn 50 cents on the dollar for their investments, fast forward 50 years in 1979 and they were making 21 cents on the dollar. This means a capitalist would have had to spend nearly 250% more, not even accounting for inflation, in order to get the same magnitude of value for themselves.
Ouch!

The Marxist notion of "capitalist crisis" hasn't materialized into some kind of socialist utopia, but the falling RP explains much of what's happened since 1975 (the union busting, private equity buying out and feasting on the carcass of existing companies, NAFTA/"free trade" agreements, off shoring and then MASS immigration to depress wages, raising retirement age(s), etc.

All mixed in with a healthy dose of (((GLOBALIST SPONSORED))) propaganda to distract you with nonsense like gender-change assignments.)

When I see your name next to a thread I sometimes wonder how you will connect it to aids, I guess I should have seen this one coming...
