I saw a Dad explaining how he uses technology to keep an eye on what his teenage son is looking at on the internet.

Why do you clowns always have to lie about everything?
Not only that, but the dad, i.e. the speaker of the house, agreed that he would be subject to the same type of monitoring. So, unlike Democrats, he's trying to safeguard his family from evil, and he's subjecting himself to it.  The man lives by his word.

Thank you, @maineman , for divulging this story.  My regard for the speaker has increased exponentially.

That missed the highlighter for some reason. **** weird, Bob.
Thank you for keeping our posters' feet to the fire on this one.
Seeing some call Joe a "decent and honest man" is also **** weird.

MaineM has the audacity to title a thread like this? Great example of a disciplined military man.
Please seat yourself.

I really don't follow Massachusetts state politics.  I would guess that, whoever she is talking about was a very effective legislator who ably served his constituents.

So, you seem to have a problem with a Dad taking control over his kids and his household to make sure that Porn does not become a problem for he or his family.  Why do you find this creepy?  Why would this action offend you so much?

I have to say, the fact that you find his actions in safeguarding his family "creepy" makes me find you a bit creepy.

I am not sure that, if I were someone who worried about porn becoming a problem in MY life, I would choose to have my 17-year-old son be the watchdog/regulator/arbiter of my online activity.  YMMV.

There is no "one way" to parent children.  This man did what he thought was best for his family.  Maybe his kid had a problem with porn.  Maybe he saw other kids having a problem with porn.  Who knows.  But, what I do know is that he agreed to be subjected to the same thing his 17 year old son was.  And, I think we could both agree that there is nothing "good" that comes from teens watching online porn.

Wrong again liar.

The Dad isn't the one worried about online porn becoming an issue in his own life you disingenuous piece of ****.

He is worried about it creeping into his 17 years old's life, and offering his own search history is the trade off for convincing his 17 year old to allow him to monitor his... but you know this and chose to lie about it anyway.

It's pretty obvious that the truth simply isn't you at all.

So you must think that none of the degenerates, groomers and freaks that you support are involved with porn in any way...?

I agree that one size does not fit all.  I merely stated that his choice was not one I would make.  I agree that online porn is not good for minors, but I don't think that opening the doorway into MY browser history for a teenager to access it is necessarily the way to limit such exposure.

Well, apparently the Speaker doesn't feel like he has anything online to hide.

What would you say if your 17 year old son was having sex with a 40 year old Democrat Congressman?
