Sorry, but here are some uncomfortable facts you gotta digest, think about this the next time you schedule a doctor's visit.
The real enemy here isn't so much socialized medicine per se as it is corporate-run healthcare. Consider what the medical establishment used to look like 40 years ago:
Lots of doctors with independent practices or partnered as small independent clinics.
Lots of independent local and regional hospitals.
Emphasis on general and family practice, preventive medicine, curative treatments.
What we have today:
"Old time" GP's knew a little bit of everything. Today's doctors (under 50-yrs old) don't know squat because they haven't been taught squat. All they do is stare at a computer screen and tell you your BMI is too high -- without actually checking your blood sugar or A1c, without noticing those skin tags on your neck or the bulging varicose veins in your legs. When was the last time your doctor actually felt your liver and spleen, or checked the strength of the pulse in your feet?
Rapid consolidation of local & regional healthcare facilities into large corporate infrastructures. Better funded healthcare groups started competing with (or bought out) independent clinics and hospitals. Healthcare groups are rapidly being bought out by massive corporate healthcare "systems".
It's virtually financially impossible for a GP to run his or her own office, especially if they have to accommodate Medicare / Medicaid patients, record-keeping and front office costs are staggering.
Virtually all GP's and many specialists are now employed by a healthcare system. As such, limitations are placed on the nature and extent of treatments they may, or may not, be allowed to prescribe to their patients. We already see how GP's are being forced to spend only x-minutes with each patient per visit, regardless of the patient's illness or medical needs.
A "system" GP cannot recommend a specialist outside that corporate system. In the old days, local GP's all knew each other and could vouch for some of the locally-practicing specialists; if you needed to see a dermatologist, your doc would give you some names within easy driving distance. Now he sets up an appointment with a "system dermatology center" 50 miles away, you don't know who you'll be seeing until you get there.
Medical management has superseded cure and treatment. We went from fixing people's problems to managing their conditions -- usually through a plethora of drugs. We need to understand this new form of corporate healthcare has an incestuous relationship with Big-Pharma, Big-Insurance, and Big-Government -- the most unholy Trinity imaginable. Your diseases, your injuries, your pain doesn't matter -- you're just a cash register. Patients are a commodity to be mined, refined and consumed, you're nothing more than Soylent Green
.I'm sorry, there's no "health care" in America anymore.
YOU
ARE
ON
YOUR
****
OWN
Gotta get your head around that. But there's hope:
BE YOUR OWN DOCTOR!
Be proactive, take responsibility for your own health. Never undergo a medical procedure or take a drug you haven't researched, don't rely solely on your doctor. Use places like Walk-in Labs and Labcorp to do basic blood panel tests for a fraction of the cost of a hospital. You don't need a lab order from your doctor, they'll print one for you. I do this once a year. If something's out of range, I look it up, find potential cause of the condition, consider possible remedies and try to fix it on my own.
If you absolutely have to see a doctor, bring your latest blood panels and research.

I had a doctor tell me. " I'm sorry. I Can't help you. i was trained as a pill pusher"OdeToJoy » 13 Nov 2023, 11:00 pm » wrote: ↑ The biggest issue I have with the present method is that each Doctor was a vested interest in giving me the maximum amount of healthcare billing. I don't know whether my orthopedist sees me as a patient; or as the double hip replacement that pays for the down payment on his boat.
There is a real conflict of interest. I read an article by a Doctor who was fired for telling a terminal cancer patient to go home and spend the remaining time with her family, because there wasn't any hope. The head of the cancer unit told her that they had just finished building a state-of-the-art chemo unit, and they needed warm bodies in the chairs.
Atention deficit disorder (ADD) and then the usual micky mouse explanations. They have some great new deals for you over at the Jim Jones health clinic corporation that you will be contiuing to fuedal monarchy subsidize along with other corporations that will be taking your property after feeding you high pesticide-herbicide residue mineral deplleted GMO food and medicated water, etc.LowIQTrash » 13 Nov 2023, 10:43 pm » wrote: ↑ A non-retarded conservative (A rarity today) posted this, and I agree 100%:
EXACTLY what my 66 year old doctor brother says!!! He has been an ER doctor for over 30 years and started bitching about the corporatization of medicine years ago. He saw it coming when hospitals started calling patients customers instead of patients and it is all about customer satisfaction and MONEY (whatever diagnosis and "treatment " is the most expensive). Remember the money is in the treatment NOT the cure...LowIQTrash » 13 Nov 2023, 10:43 pm » wrote: ↑ A non-retarded conservative (A rarity today) posted this, and I agree 100%:
American healthcare was imploded by management. not the healthcare itself. Too many people in control of tomorrow that won't accept how living evolves today.LowIQTrash » 13 Nov 2023, 10:43 pm » wrote: ↑ A non-retarded conservative (A rarity today) posted this, and I agree 100%:

blah, blah, blah. Most health problems come from adapting to time being alive now evolving forward in series parallel space geometrically here, geologically formed, geographically occupying space specifically here as ancestrally positioned now.Bob » 14 Nov 2023, 9:38 am » wrote: ↑ Most health problems are from toxins in food, mineral-nutrient depleted foods and toxic medications that tend to deplete nutrients.. The live blood test can help identify various nutrient deficiency's and unusual blood clotting problems, etc.

My doctor brother would disagree with you. The system is all about MONEY. Corporate protocol trumps doctor's decisions.nefarious101 » 14 Nov 2023, 10:43 am » wrote: ↑ The healthcare is great....works like a charm and plentiful. I see nothing to complain about at all
The thing is.....the government CONTROLS ALL healthcare so if you have a problem with corporate care? You can thank your government for providing it for you via paid off elected officials in D.C.LowIQTrash » 13 Nov 2023, 10:43 pm » wrote: ↑ A non-retarded conservative (A rarity today) posted this, and I agree 100%:

It is in your scripted role playing society's child cradle to grave as who you will be or die trying.
