Americans know nothing.
 There was a coup in Spain over the last 10 days. Nobody in the US knows about it. Total blackout.
 I mentioned it to someone yesterday, and they laughed at me. "I haven't heard about it." (That means "it didn't happen" to your average American.)
 EDIT: When hardship comes to the US -- and it will, soon -- I expect these people to be very, very dangerous in the initial months. They will go berserk. They live in a children's fantasy world. When true suffering arrives on these shores, it will break tens of millions of minds. You will need to hide until they die off. The damage Americans can do from their ignorance and arrogance is world-historical.

 The rest of the gun-owning population has done nothing to protect itself, and appears unwilling to do so. The guns are for decoration only.
