This has been a little covered story but during the APEC summit in San Francisco, the election situation in Taiwan changed its calculus. Apparently there has been a three way race for the January 13th election. One party supporting independence and two supporting closer ties. Now the two opposition parties decided to become one ticket. This means that the Taiwan headache for the Americans might be on the road to being less tense. I'm pretty sure anyone who saw the shocked face of Biden and Blinken now know why this was the reaction. Link to article here

WASH DC has no desire to ease tensions. Old Sleepy called Xi a dictator just minutes after their meeting,

while Xi was still in San ***. Xi and China are well aware that there is not a single person of integrity in *** DC.

Here's a pic of that site's source.  What a Debbie Downer. You'd think he could take a better pic for his own site.

Biden will do nothing to stop China from coming after Taiwan.  US companies and investors should completely divest from Taiwan and China.  Taiwan would be wise to partner up with Japan, once Japan has built back its military capabilities.  However, Japan has been very slow to militarize, so Taiwan is likely F-ed by now.  Biden's weakness will be the ultimate downfall of Taiwan, no matter who becomes president next.

No.  Taiwan was never part of Communist China.  It was part of Japan up until the end of WWII by treaty/agreement.  Then, it was stripped from Japan and placed under Chinese provincial rule, post WWII.  And, that would have been fine with Taiwan.  However, Communists forcefully took over all of mainland China, and Taiwan wanted no part of this Communist takeover.  So, you're full of ****, as usual.
