No, I just point out that people somehow believe that hardship and bad luck won't happen to them. I met a young man in the 90's, who didn't have  health insurance for his family with young children, even though he could afford it.  He was very proud of the fact that he had used the money for a  down payment on a rental property.  He said he was willing to take the chance because he knew that if something happened that they would be taken care of in the emergency room.

I have no problem with Libertarians, but they are the first ones to apply for "safety net" programs when faced with adversity.  At least the ones I've met.

I was invited to a local church to see a visiting evangelist.  One of the members asked about the movement to not pay taxes because they didn't agree with how the money was being spent.  He asked her if she had driven to church on a paved road, and told her that unless she was willing to go up into the mountains and live off grid, then she should pay her taxes.

My daughter is a Director of a non profit that deals with homeless people.  They go out to find all the mentally ill, brain damaged, and disabled veterans living in storm drains, tents, cars, and under overpasses.  Sometimes their families are living with them.  Life does not go smoothly for everyone.

Every week I give 30 dollars to random homeless people.

I ride out in my passenger seat with three rolls of quarters, and as I drive by some beggar, I throw one of the quarter rolls right smack at the guy's gob, as hard as I can hit him.

You would be amazed how many of them, after shrieking in pain, reflexively say, "God bless you."

Thanks for showing how "Comedy is psychologically weaponized" for all generation gaps watching and corruption is transferred socially in every medium entertaining last generations to comply with methods established by previous 4 throughout history current events records to keep the trends going until extinction arrives the fooled for life don't know how to correct human behavior in one rotation of the planet, 1/4 lunar phase a week, one season changing two hemispheres at the same time as opposites each side of the equator, each revolution this planet has remained 3rd from the star in this solar system, this galaxy, this universal moment nothing of everything is the same total sum of anything ever done twice evolving the same way constantly.

Take away intellectual relative time and you live in real time evolving doesn't exceed existing in series parallel space occupying time to the moment each is here evolving one at a time since conceived to replace their specific previous 4 generation gaps processing 93.75% their unique one of a kind chromosome positions populating the atmosphere now.

the remaining 6.25% is mathematically reduced proportionately each generation from inception of your ancestral lineage. 5th prior generation was 3.125%, 6th generation that was 64 people is 1.5625% the arriving replacement never been a duplicate of anyone of those 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 lifetimes that re[produced a next generation.

the covers the entire food chain native to this atmosphere.

shut the **** up you self loathing egotistical pretender life exceeds adapting to space here now.

1.  Before Obamacare, a local minister would give these sermons about how people who didn't have insurance should be willing to die before they accepted government programs.  He had a heart attack, and the insurance company cancelled his insurance.  He made 2 more years of these sermons, until he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Trotted right into the government office to apply for the state program for uninsured people.  Government paid for all his medical bills.  He did shut up about being willing to die for his principles.

I am not so sure about it being good or bad. I would say that it is inevitable. Differing levels of motivation, smarts, or simply where you start in life change how one's life plays out.

Really?  Better tell the people in California that.

https://calmatters.org/commentary/2023/ ... et-thrive/

The chief financial officer of the cannabis company MariMed was recently asked where her team was considering expanding. Her reply: “Not California.”

Susan Villare is not alone in that sentiment. Numerous well-capitalized businesses are pulling up stakes and abandoning substantial investments rather than face mounting losses. Many investors describe the market as “brutal” and “toxic.”

Currently 2 out of every 3 cannabis purchases are made in the illicit market. Evidence suggests that disparity is getting worse. Legal sales have been on a two-year slide.

---- And it will be bad ----
For all the talk of equity and “righting the wrongs” of the drug war, all of this is taking place in an industry without bankruptcy protections, where individuals carry personal liability for business taxes, and where businesses are barred from writing off normal expenses.

In other words, behind the industry’s potential demise are thousands of intimate, personal stories of financial ruin.

You are better at ignoring life and keeping evolving a national secret only those in command of social narratives until extinction practice daily. I vote the lesser of two evils because I recognize your social mind is the greater evil live.

So, to bottom line it, **** piles like cali, working with **** piles like the autocrats in DC, can **** a thing up - but it doesn't make the THING bad; it makes the **** piles bad.

We on the same page, there? That's what you're saying?

I mean, you're NOT saying we need prohibition because california sucks - right?

I solved the FICA tax problem, gave every working American a large raise  and eliminated ALL inequality in business with one stone.

Eliminate all business taxes(and tax breaks).

All businesses pay 100% of FICA taxes for their employees, revisited every 3 years and raised accordingly.
