I hear this a lot in politics. It seems to be good messaging for anyone with money that enters politics. However, aren't they rich because they can be bought? Wouldn't be better if politicians weren't billionaires for this reason? Of course then they would only be millionaires but I still think the point is valid.
Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.
