The beginning scene of where it was just a one on one fight to solve the differences between armies was a good idea. They used to do that in the ancient days. Instead of a complete bloodshed of thousands of men, they just had the best fighter from each side fight.
Why not do that in modern times? The average Russian soldier and Ukraine soldier don't even hate each other. They would probably be drinking buddies. In fact, they probably were before the war. So why doesn't Putin and Zelenskyy fight it out to the death? Give each of them swords...and let them go.
