My next door neighbor's son worked for a local distributor 15 or so years ago, right before the bourbon craze had really starting taking off. He had several iterations of Pappy/Buffalo Trace's higher end stuff in his liquor cabinet at the time... of course before the prices went nuts.
We were drinking Weller 12 and Antique 107 like it was Jim Beam it was so easy to get at the time. If only we knew.
He had some Pappy 15 if I recall, but never any 23. It was called Old Rip Van Winkle back then. Good stuff!
