Gross domestic product increased at a 5.2% annualized rate last quarter, revised up from the previously reported 4.9% pace, the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) said in its second estimate of third-quarter GDP. That is a great number by all means. The Consumer made up 68% of that increase. Will the consumer remain on a spending spree? Hard to say, there appears to be cracks forming around the edges.
One thing is for sure, a decrease in M2 money supply doesn't always mean a recession but all recessions are preceded by a decrease in M2 money supply.
So here we are, roll the dice. No one will remember this number if a recession hits. We are watching our penny's by choice, not everyone has that choice. Some people are still carrying credit card balances from last Christmas
