Illinois banned semiauto firearms, and the SCOTUS decided that ruling on it wasn't in their wheelhouse given the arguments presented. It's still a State issue, at this time. (See my siggy)

SCOTUS doesn't write laws, they interpret the Constitutionality of written law.

Yeah it seems after this ruling some semiautomatic guns will be banned. Which wasn't the case before.

Illinois had record sakes of ARs in the weeks preceeding this case coming up.
