Do. you understand the difference between and assault rifle and an assault weapon? I suggest you read the information I provided from DOJ, Congress, and the state of Illinois. 

Next, as you speak of bans, 27 states have implemented either permit less carry or constitutional carry meaning ou need no permit to a carry a firearm concealed or open.

 you really think there is support for a meaningless assault weapon ba?

 goes form a blue state to a red state.

It won't solve all the problems. Nothing is perfect. But it seems the murders these days want the best gun for the mass murdering.

Not relevant to the discussion.  Earlier you were gracious enough to admit that the IL law is not a ban on semiautomatics.  At this point you should do the same concerning assault weapon which are not assault rifles.

Not enough for a nationwide ban under the fed gov.  And there are blues states that still allow carry.  I am quite certain you are not understanding what I am talking about.

There are SOME blue states where it will work.  But not all,  I can drive from VA all the way to the CA border of AZ or NV and conceal carry. I can all the way south to FL.  I wish you luck with your agenda.

I didn't say we didn't.  I did say that murders with rifles, never mind assault rifles, is under 600.  While handguns are the weapon of choice.  TO include mass murders.

This started as a discussion debunking your thread title.  You admitted you were wrong.  Now it has devolved into one of assault weapons.  Post how many of those incidents were accomplished with the weapons that IL just banned.

Mass murders are defined as 3-4 shot.  Most of those are done with hand guns.

Good.  What do you suggest?  The "assault weapons ban" you are defending are not going to stop the hand gun murders that are what?  Three times higher than ALL rifles.
