There's only two times I drink.  When I'm alone.  And when I'm with someone.

What about Christmas or Christmas eve or in-between?  Drinking any bourbon, wine, or even eggnig?  Maybe a toast to the family?

Sorry but not that interesting. My drinking of alcohol is limited to fridays and sometimes Saturdays. I have 32 to 38 oz. of strong, high ABV beer such as an imperial IPA or such.

I typically don't drink on the actual holidays themselves because we are usually traveling over the hills and through the snow to visit and such.

When I do drink, it's at home and without any plans of going anywhere. I won't even drive through the neighborhood to the corner store once I've had a drink or two. It's just not worth taking the chance.

I worked in a honkey tonk bar with bands- after work i would go change my clothes and party at the bar..
I would wear the silly hats- those noise makers for the minute the new year came... by then -the place was emptying out- and the cops were trolling the cars in the parking lots for oui arrests....
I stay home now- every new years eve.

No.  I will probably have a sip of bourbon with my wife just so my wife doesn't feel like she's drinking alone. It's too cold for beer. And, I can nurse a glass of Woodford for some time.  I have a low tolerance for alcohol now, as i really drink very little.

That's cool. To each their own. I like the intense bitter flavor in a strong IPA.

Does that really stand for India Pale Ale?

Yes, It comes from when they would send the beer from the UK to India. Without the extra hops, it would frequently go bad. Hops are a preservative that we adapted to like the taste.
