As we draw ever closer to primary season, the race for the GOP nomination shows some indications of tightening.

As it does, the long overdue reckoning for the GOP will be inevitable. Given that Grifty has declined to pledge loyalty to the party, he will set loose his increasingly impotent rage against his most likely rivals. With Grifty absorbing a massive proportion of the Stupid Money, the GOP will be limited in how it can mitigate the damage he will do. It would also put them in an awkward position, illustrated by the "2ndBesty Paradox". 2ndBesty surely feels that his grossly overhyped economy is his doing - to what will any GOP candidate point when trying to convince voters of the merits of rote GOP economic policies?

"VOTE FOR ME...NOT THE GUY WHOSE EXAMPLE I PLEDGE TO EMULATE!"

There's also the issue of trying to herd the GOP base, a good part of which is asexually sexually stimulated by Yam Daddy.

All of this against a backdrop of FOX looking down the barrel of another billion dollar settlement and attendant confessions, Moms for Liberty to Mow Lawn, GriftyCo being shut down, and inflation at 2%.

Assuming 2024 is not the year the GOP comes to its senses and abandons everything that has made it the favorite of the least intelligent among us, in what does the Dead End place its hopes?
