The US is now history's biggest oil producer as output continues to surge to all-time levels, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Output of crude and condensate hit a new global record this quarter of 13.3 million barrels per day. That's part of a record 21.4 million barrels per day for total US liquids production.

"Not only is the United States producing more oil than any country in history, but the amount of oil (crude oil, refined products and natural gas liquids) that it is exporting is near the total production of Saudi Arabia or Russia." Jim Burkhard, vice president and head of research for oil market, energy and mobility, said in the report on Tuesday. "When you look back on 2008 — when US production was at a 62-year low, and exports were zero — it is a remarkable turnaround."

The rise is consistent with a broader surge in US production, which has accelerated through this year. Separate data from the Energy Information Agency on Wednesday showed that US crude output surged to a fresh record high of 13.3 million barrels a day last week.

The U.S. shale patch is now looking to do more with less as it seeks capital and operational efficiency to prove to shareholders that it has turned the page from growth at all costs to measured growth accompanied by higher returns to investors.The oil and gas firms operating from the Permian to Marcellus shale plays are drilling increasingly deeper lateral wells as drilling rigs are fewer, but wells are longer.Despite the loss of active drilling rigs, shale firms are producing more oil and gas and have even exceeded some skeptical projections from earlier this year.

This is pure DAMAGE CONTROL that is a day late and a dollar short.
We will never see gasoline sold in the $2 range ever again.
Thanks to Biden's War on our gasoline based economy...more young libtards than ever before find themselves further  from the dream of owning a single family home on acreage...... [unless they become multi-millionaires].
Nowadays I drive past dozens of 100 unit, sardine can  style apartment complexes where nice farm houses on wide open farm land once stood.
Many of these sardine can style housing facilities have built in shops so that future  generations  [who can no longer afford the cost of private vehicle ownership] won't need to venture outside of their concrete and asphalt habitats if the [[[JWO]]] provided Mass Transit System isn't working.

Please tell me that his administration doesn't think that solar or wind turbines will replace it all. It can't be electric vehicles, because we need coal and oil to build electric vehicles.

Don't what is plan is.  I know he signed a law where 50% of all new cars must be EVs.  Where he is going to get the energy, the grid, and the infrastructure like charging stations to support hasn't been released.

How many times have you seen me post the old "But what's next" line lately?  They don't think about that.  And many of them won't be in office when these timelines end.

Just for the record the price of fuel went about 20 cents in my area in less than week, as of yesterday. Make that 30 cents as of today. 2.69 to 2.99 since last Sunday.

The premise of the two reliable sources is not only the lag in pricing from last year, with is worse than normal, but the fact technology allows companies to drill more with FEWER rigs, is the reason why the US has produced more oil.

That is my stand.  Do you have one?
