Why would anyone meltdown unless they lived in MA?  IF I were to move up north I would live somewhere like Salem NH.  Close to Boston, a gun range, a couple of premium gun shops and a state that has arguable the laxest gun laws in the nation.

The cool part about where I live is I can drive from her to FL, or all the way to the border of CA in NV or AZ and legally conceal carry.  And we have common sense.  We don't ban weapons based on appearance.

What are you talking about?  I am quite familiar with the gun laws of other states because I travel a lot.  

I know for a fact you were very surprised to learn that you can buy MA Ban Compliant Semi Auto Rifles in a town you are very familiar with.  

ANd I know your state is one of the top 5-10 gun friendly states in the nation.  Nothing like the Communist Commonwealth of MA.

So?  The only states you have to worry about are WA, CA, IL, NY and NJ.

Next, your firearm agenda is dead in the water at the national level.  27 states (more than half, stopped) have constitutional or permit less carry.  That does not include states that where you have to have a CCP to carry concealed.  As I said earlier, I can go anywhere south of VA and conceal carry oral the way to the border of CA and not have to go out of my way.  Do you think they are going to support bans of any kind?

There is no way amendments or BS laws will be passed at the national level with that many people supporting the right to own or carry.  I know that comes as a surprise to you.

What track record would that be?  Schooling you on gun laws and guns, to include your own state, gunophobe?

This should't concern you either because you don't live in MA.  But you do live in a state and town that sells MA ban compliant semi auto rifles.

Federal appeals of State laws.

Like I said, the affirmation was on a Massachusetts State law that has been on the books since 1998.

If a State doesn't have such a law in the first place, then there isn't anything to appeal on the Federal level to start with.

Did you even read the CNN article that you posted?

The Federal appeals ruling was on a law passed in Massachusetts 25 years ago... and yes, you can still buy semi auto rifles in Massachusetts, even after this Federal ruling.

The story also said that it was moving on up the food chain as well, and will probably end up before the SCOTUS before it's all over with.

Until it does, the law is constitutional and similar laws passed in the future will be legitimized by precedent.

As it pertains to State law. Individual State law.

The adjudication on this Massachusetts State law has zero effect on my State of TN for example... or any other State that has no such law in place in to start with.

If anyone is "whining", it would be the people of the State of Massachusetts that disagree with the ban.
