If on one hand your claim is the semi automatic AR 15 style platform was designed for the battlefield making the ultimate self defense weapon in ordinary self defense situations, or the other it wasn't designed for the battlefield.

Once again, I don't own anything tactical except my old BDUs that I never wear.  

And that is the new civilian version of the new army assault rifle.  And it isn't black.  The M16/M4 s going away.

Who argued otherwise?  You can still get back, scary looking ban complaint AR style weapons.  But that new sig sauer is not based on the AR 15 stye semi autos.

The new army assault rifle is not based on the AR platform.  The new civilian version is not based on the AR 15 style platform and is a different caliber than the military version.
