Putin has been signaling through intermediaries since at least September that he is open to a ceasefire that freezes the fighting along the current lines, far short of his ambitions to dominate Ukraine, two former senior Russian officials close to the Kremlin and U.S. and international officials who have received the message from Putin’s envoys say.

let's hold off on such pronouncements until several of his appointees declare him a "moron", or "dumber than ****"..

That bar is pretty much out of reach.

Um, Biden is not President of Ukraine.  He is barely President of the United States.  Peace between Ukraine and Russia is not HIS deal to take.

But, if Biden does back a peace deal with Russia, my bet is that it will involve Ukraine giving up land beyond Crimea to Russia. And, that Mr. Democrat is a huge loss for Ukraine, a huge loss for America and a huge loss for Biden.

The war would have never started if it wasn’t for Wash DC threatening Russia’s existence with NATO and CIA moves since the late 80’s.

US President Joe Biden wrote in the New York Times in June 2022 that the United States was arming Ukraine to “fight on the battlefield and be in the strongest possible position at the negotiating table.”  Ukraine’s 2022 autumn counteroffensive did in fact leave it in a position of strength, but Biden and his NATO allies still chose the battlefield over the negotiating table. Now, the failure of Ukraine’s long-delayed “spring counteroffensive” has left Ukraine in a far weaker position both on the battlefield and at the still-empty negotiating table. So, based on Biden’s own definition of US war aims, his policy is failing. Tragically, it is hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers, not Americans, who are paying the price with their limbs and their lives.

It's a good deal for putin he gets 20% of Ukraine and gets what he wants. That's why he started the war to begin with.

Nah Ukraine proclaimed they wouldn't join nato months before the attack from Russia. It's just a fact.

It is clear that the U.S. and its allies were out to sabotage possibilities for peace immediately after the Russian invasion. Were it not for their interference, the current war could have ended in early March 2022—about a week after it started. Thanks to Arakhamia, we now have confirmation of this fact.He was at the talks in Belarus and said the Russians would halt the invasion and leave Ukraine if there was agreement on Ukrainian military neutrality and its leaders gave up on NATO membership.Rather than report this to the public, however, the media in Europe and the U.S. focused on sensational statements that were not actually part of those negotiations. They insisted that the Russians made official demands in the talks to “de-Nazify” a country that the Allies said had no Nazis. Further, Russia supposedly demanded direct control of not only the eastern Russian-speaking regions of Ukraine but also other vast stretches of the country.

But putin doesn't want to let the Russian people know he wants peace. Cause he doesn't want to look weak.

The goal was no natobership for nato.  Now Ukraine will join nato. No doubt about it. Russia started the war to stop nato expansion amd nato grew leaps and bounds. Putin failed in all his goals.
