America owes both  this guy and Colonel Sanders a great debt of gratitude for helping to keep the runaway Negro population explosion in check. 
Of course with Sanders it was his artery clogging extra greasy chicken and diabetes causing side dishes that  did their magic....

A little off topic here but I always shake my head when someone in their mid 90's passes away and the report states "cause of death unknown"... I mean, the guy was 94.

On topic... Glocks are solid and dependable firearms for sure, but I have always thought they were butt ugly and would even go so far as to say they're the most "unsexy" firearm out there. They are still a great design just the same

On the first point I agree.  Also, on some, when they say unexpectedly.  

I prefer S&W M&P models myself. 

I gave my pet monkey Rakeem a toy Glock for Xmas and the first thing he did was to pick it up, hold it "sideways" and aim it at my head.

Sig Sauer here for semi auto pistols... Rugers and S&W for wheel guns. S&W does make fine strikers as well.

I do have a Glock 43 but the daughter uses it as her carry so, it pretty much belongs to her now. Lol

I don't believe you would have any issues there. I've never fired one, but have heard and read plenty of good things about them... plus it's a Ruger, so you already know it's a tank.

I've owned a P-95 and a couple of P-89s in the past and they were all solid and dependable, and held their value and then some as well.

Ruger is one of my favorite manufacturers all around.

I'm going to choose Gaston Glock, and here's why. I would attribute to Colt his creation of an assembly line manufacturing process for churning out many decent quality revolvers and firearms. However, Sam Colt was not a visionary when it came to advancing the science of firearms.  Don't forget, Colt died in 1862, long before even the Colt Single Action Army came into existence, let alone the 1911.  It was actually Charles Richards of Colt Manufacturing who developed the legendary SAA - after Sam Colt's death.

Gaston Glock created a revolutionary polymer as well as created a revolutionary process of integrating steel components into that polymer to create "plastic" firearms.  This allowed him to design and produce an entire series of guns that are indestructible, incredibly reliable, effective, light weight, decent capacity and simple to use. Nearly every modern manufacturer has taken design elements from the Glock and incorporated them into their own brand of polymer pistols.  I call them Glock-a-likes.

As a kid growing up, I remember everyone died of natural causes, even car crash vics....
