stopping the migrants before they reach the US border.
Even setting aside the cost of new buildings, taxpayers are going to pay
around $14,000 a year for each of those minors to attend school until they graduate. Assuming most of those minors won’t be deported and will be staying at least 5-8 years while their parents claim asylum, the US could be spending $182 million on just the kids who arrived in November and that’s just for one year of school.
