Here is something from the official BLS cite.

After reaching a peak in February 2020, employment fell by a combined 22.4 million in March and April, a decline of 15 percent. By contrast, in the previous four employment downturns since 1981, job losses averaged 3 percent, with the largest decline (6 percent) occurring during the Great Recession of 2007–09.

Working in  manufacturing my entire adult life, one of the first things I learned is labor costs are at the top of everyone's radar...

all costs are fixed, facility, taxes, utilities, etc...labor is the only variable...

running 3 shifts are better than 2 and 2 are better than 1 with 24/7 the best...

OT is cheaper than straight time...no extra bodies or benefit packages, just addl half pay...

And believe it or not, service sector folks do not need to starve for your life to work.

Lots of very successful states do - and lots of broke dick **** holes don't. MOSTLY, the loser states do the federal minimum and the powerhouse states do their own. Florida is a red state - 12 dollar minimum. Businesses do not HAVE to move there - no law requiring it. But they want to.

Texas is the exception - red state powerhouse, federal minimum. 

Muzzling the ox is anti-Christian - also called "Republican," "Neoconservative," and "retar ted." Before Clinton, the Democrat party was for the workers - stood with unions, fought for higher minimum wages. 

Before they were perverts and satanists, I was with the dems. Loved Carter - still do. Much better president than that *** reagan.

I agree...the restaurant business is the worst...in Mn, they don't even have to pay minimum wage as tips are considered part of their "minimum wages"...now that's just **** up beyond reproach...

Mn has always been blue, and I was a DFLer into the 80's...then they lost me cuz of handouts spending every friggin dime they collected....

The nigs started coming about the same time from Chicago to Minneapolis, but not for diversity, they would show up by bus the first of the month, collect their state welfare checks and go back to Chicago...a local shockjock did an expose on them and after getting heat, the state shut it down...then they just moved here....
