as you are aware, there are way over 10 trillion usa dollars held by usa politicians and drug dealers. this stops usa from calling all old usa dollars and replacing them with new dollars. yes. no way could the usa politicians and drug dealers explain were they go the money. it is estimated the exchange would more than balance the national debt.

you print the same amount of new dollars as there are old dollars. after the legal dollars are exchanged, you end up with over 50 trillion dollars. use some of that money to call the national debt. use the balance to provide shelter for the people.

Dude - Americans don't hold cash.  We own property and fractional shares of companies that make **** the rest of the world needs.

Only citizens of 3rd-world ****-hole countries hold cash.

people have moved their cash into money markets. most average usa citizens have more than a million dollars in money markets yielding over 5%. soon the market crashes. people will sell their money markets and buy crashed stocks for pennies on the dollar. i bet you are one of those guys. sitting will millions of cash in money markets. rubbing your hands. thinking off how richer you will be.

That's a good reason to have some gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium and silver off to the side.  If EVERYONE loses their value in their financial portfolios (and/or cash) in a SHTF scenario, then those with real estate, metals and other desirable hard-assets win.

There are ALWAYS winners and losers in every economic/financial scenario.  You just gotta be one of the WINNERS!!!

Ok Skan-zee. lol- here's my theory.
i know many people who have lost big chunks from their 401k's. They lost their money. gone!!!
into the fake money pie in the sky.
The money they have left in there... may lose it's value.
but cash may loose the same value also.
they seem like double losers to me? they have less money to lose its value.
and buying gold now seems like a not so good idea.
i tried to pay my property taxes with a coin- they wouldn't take it. Told me they had no way to make change.

You can't go run out and all at once accumulate Gold, Securities, Property and Cash, sit back and go "Ahhhhh, I've got it made".  You must accumulate these things over time, WHEN THEY GO ON SALE.  If Macy's has a pair of shoes you've been wanting for quite some time, are you going to buy them a week before Christmas?  Or, might you wait until they go on sale?

So, when "people" lose half their 401K, that's the time to sell off some gold, or use your cash and BUY cheap, on-sale securities.   And, When Securities reach their all time highs and silver is in a slump, that's the time to cash in some of your securities and buy a little more silver.  Its a bunch of roller coasters that go up and down.  But, sometimes, you can time a sale and purchase to take advantage of stuff that that goes on sale!

Gold isn't for buying stuff to live on.  It's for the Sale of the Century, after a '29 type stock market crash. After July 8, 1930 - if you had gold or cash, you could have cherry-picked companies like: Coca-Cola, Deer (John-Deer), ADM, Electric Boat Company (now General Dynamics), GE and IBM.

See, all of these companies make **** that people really want or need. They still do.  And, THAT'S what Gold is for.

Are you saying people couldn't sell gold in 1929?  That was a pretty serious collapse, wouldn't you agree?

Gold’s value decreased by more than 50% from 1925-1929, when stocks were going sky-high.  But, gold regained all of its losses by 1934. The price went up because people wanted gold during a bad economic time. Gold is used for money and other things in the world and a hedge against bank failures.

So, if you started buying gold when it went on sale, then sold some of it a year after the crash to buy "survivor" stocks, you would have set your family up for generations of buying politicians, fancy parties, mansions and extreme snobbery.
