Who in the military, active or retired, are embarrassed they were part of the current or past admins who used you to further horrible policy? 

If not you should be….and why were you in the military? The freebies? A bitch for the State?

 
 

Mostly the US military is a jobs program for poor kids who dont know

what else to do with their lives.

Its purpose is a MUSCLE for a MAFIA EMPIRE.

That’s part of it, it’s also for dummies snookered into believing they’re “answering a call” or get to “see the world”…..with little to no consequences. They get big freebies on our dime found nowhere else. 

Then too many come home after they “saw the world” only to blow their brains out.

'Department of Defense' used to be 'War Department'.

I think it was better when it was called War Dept.
Less confusing what the **** they did for a living.
Also, to send men into battle was because there was an actual war.

Korea sent us on the wrong fork in the road.

To learn a marketable trade and of course for the lifetime benefits that I still enjoy.
The 10% off at Lowes / Home Depot has really added up over the years and this was a benefit I never counted on. 
The VA recently put me through 40 one hour sessions of life changing physical therapy to cure a sciatic nerve pinch.
They found a civilian clinic that was 10 miles from home
What those sessions would have cost out of pocket ....!
Why should any 18 year old who is on his own  be embarrassed about enlisting and inadvertently "furthering horrible policy"...?
I never knew ANY of the "I WAS ANSWERING A CALL" types.
I will say there were MANY of those types who were "answering the call" as they stood  in lines wrapped around the block  at the AFEES Stations all across the USA the morning of the Pearl Harbor attack.
