It won't have a chance at passing the House. Biden is staking out a position (like he did on abortion) on being anti-gun. His bet is that the American People will side with him and this would increase his approval rate. Will it work? No. Why? Because neither Biden nor his Administration truly give a **** about what the American People want.Huey » 09 Jan 2024, 1:19 pm » wrote: ↑ "There is no excuse for this carnage. I guess no one told Joe, or better yet, those making decisions for him, that none of those proposals would have done a thing to stop the Iowa shooting.
A shotgun, a handgun and a homemade explosive device were in the possession of the 17 year old shooter.

Did the guy use a double-barrel shotgun? Or a pump shotgun. Double-barrels aren't quite so common anymore.Huey » 09 Jan 2024, 1:50 pm » wrote: ↑ I don't think it would pass either. Although it is ironic the weapon used was the one he recommended.
“I said, Jill, if there’s ever a problem just walk out on the balcony here … put that double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house,” Biden said during an online question-and-answer session Tuesday.
And
“You don’t need an AR-15,” said Biden in the online forum. “It’s harder to aim. It’s harder to use. And, in fact, you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun.”

Unfortunately, that's not what Biden was describing. They will try to have pump shotguns labeled semi-autos and say "repeaters" and "semi-auto" is the same. They are already calling semi-autos same as full-auto machine guns.

His assault weapons ban is a pipe dream. 27 states have permitless/constitutional carry laws in this country meaning they respect the right to own firearms.Vegas » 09 Jan 2024, 2:00 pm » wrote: ↑ Has he figured out a definition of an assault weapon yet?

That is another reason why it appears this story is disappearing.RedheadedStranger » 09 Jan 2024, 2:09 pm » wrote: ↑ The Iowa shooter was an LGBTQ "trans" supporter.
Perhaps banning *** and gender dysphoria would save lives too.

There must be a transcript somewhere of his speech, I listened but couldn't tell if he was talking about Corn Pop or choking on his Metamucil.Huey » 09 Jan 2024, 1:19 pm » wrote: ↑ "There is no excuse for this carnage. Same thing for the Nashville Shooter's Manifesto, it contains damaging information that would skew their agenda.RedheadedStranger » 09 Jan 2024, 2:36 pm » wrote: ↑ Yep.
Big Tech and the "authorities" went into high gear scrubbing the shooter's social media footprint immediately following the shooting.
It was apparently rife with support for the LGBTQ community and the shooter even claimed to be "trans".
They couldn't have that being broadcast on the 6 o'clock news.
I read a local story that said that 10 MNPD police officers were disciplined and "reassigned" after leaking portion of the manifesto to the press several weeks ago.RebelGator » 09 Jan 2024, 2:41 pm » wrote: ↑ Same thing for the Nashville Shooter's Manifesto, it contains damaging information that would skew their agenda.

A local LGBTQ group is still fighting to keep the contents from being official released to the public even.
Pretty telling huh?
