 Since the legalization of constitutional carry in July 2023, Florida’s biggest cities saw a significant decrease in violent crimes, including shootings. In Jacksonville, murders and homicides dropped 6 percent in 2023 from the previous year.

And Ohio.

Violent crime has been decreasing the past few years.  With MORE guns in circulation and being carried.  Do try and stay on point OR go ahead make a point.

Miami also reported a 34 percent drop, from 151 to 100, in non-fatal shootings and 124 fewer “non-contact” shootings than in 2022. The change mirrors a national trend in less violent crime in 2023.
 Florida’s constitutional carry law may not be the sole reason for those numbers, but this is the exact opposite of what Democrats claimed would happen after the law passed. Indeed, it’s fair to suspect respecting citizens’ constitutional right to self-defense played a role in the crime decline. Good guys with guns can deter, prevent, and even stop crime. The legal use of firearms helps thwart an estimated 2.5 million crimes a year.

Florida's economy is largely based on attracting wealthy retirees...so it makes good sense to present to  those folks the opportunity to live in a well armed [and well known reputation for being well armed] retirement community ......

Yup.  I remember when FL's stand your ground laws were signed.  It was supposed to be the wild wild west.  When they went to constitutional carry it was supposed to be the same.

100 greenies.  I already stipulated to it when I made the post.  And remember, this is about Carry laws in Ohio and FL AND a decrease in violent crime.  As I have said before more guns does not necessarily equate to lower violent crime rates it certainly is not increasing them.  

Now is a good time for you to tie this into that.
